Aww I think you made the right decision. We have a older motorhome called Colin and parts are now getting hard to find even in the U.K. So we have to take care of him ♥️

I think so too! :) I love the name of your motorhome! lol

Glad Helen’s all well . Big money for something as simple as oil change. But up and onwards guys !

I'm glad it wasn't anything major, but that's still an eye-watering sum to fork out for recovery. I think you made the right decision not to try again, because the van was taking a lot of punishment on that road surface and you could have ended up with a broken spring. At least you got some spectacular drone footage of the scenery. I hope the next leg is less exciting.

Yeah! Pretty annoying! I think so too, there's too much of the trip left that she needs to do, so not worth the risk! lol

Great video! We drove the Dempster about 10 days after you. We only did part of it (to the end of Tombstone Territorial Park) but it was very hazy due to forest fires so it was lovely to see your drone footage of what it looks like on a clear day. You made the right decision- it’s no fun being nervous on a drive, miles from nowhere with no cell reception. 😊

Thanks so much, Vicki! :) Ah cool! :) Yeah, Tombstone was really beautiful! Very grateful we got to see the mountains!! :) Yeah I think so too, we're content with our decision! Onwards and upwards :)

I did the whole thing, right up to Tuk. 61 yrs old, solo female. Ford Transit. No problems. Met an elderly couple driving a little Honda civic. lol. I also drove across Canada, so coast to coast to coast last summer. No problems

Glad it worked out "OK". I wouldn't have been so calm about it. I realize you weren't all that calm, but you were calm by my standards. Too bad you didn't you aren't going to make it to "Tuk". Very few Canadians have!! Onwards to the next adventure, a more pleasant one this time I hope
@CazzyandBradley2 жыл бұрын
Haha, looking back, I'm surprised at how calm we were. I think it was a case, if we didn't laugh, we'd cry! haha Yeah, it's a real pity, but one day we'll return!

Clever decision to abort the route. I would do the same in that situation. But as a camper owner as you are, I felt the pain and feel sorry for you guys.

No need to cool oil to check....get with it....pull stick..wipe off....re check right away...no issue
@CazzyandBradley3 ай бұрын
get with it ... need to wait til the oil has cooled so it filters down and through the system... otherwise you won't get a true reading ... silly

The main reason why North America doesn’t have any French made vehicles because they have too many problems, just to check the engine oil level need to wait for a hour, It is a joke ! In North America from one repair shop to other may take few hours, people here really expect to have a reliable car to drive cross the country!
@CazzyandBradley2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they aren't built for the weather of North America. Although they're popular in South America and all of Europe. We never had a single problem driving thousands of miles until we entered North America, so definitely the extreme weather conditions have had an impact, plus it's driven a hell of a long way, so naturally will have issues! :)

Don’t be driving strange low rent European vehicles in Canada. Madness. Get a Toyota.
@CazzyandBradley2 жыл бұрын
It's our van from england and they're a massive brand all across Europe, the UK and even South America...so... no :) it ain't low rent either
