Had a 480 Venture as a camp sled and it too seized the crank. No warning just one loud screech and game over.

So what did you do for the front mount bracket holes for the front of the skid?

Factory holes were re used. Probably would of been slightly better if they were moved forwards just slightly

Replace that crank, button her back up...and maybe get 1 good ride at least!! I'm still on my '88 that I bought brand new. Its a couple mods/restorations/replacements later but I still claim that its the original '88! But I try not to get farther into the bush than I can walk back out!

Haha I hear ya, these cases are a but mangled too, I'm just going to find another used engine this summer, or crank/cases and rebuild it. Unfortunate
