Can you only put them on "nice" boats? Also choose a knot that slips down onto the anchor ring and you will greatly reduce the swing of the anchor.
@mikemcnamara3777 Жыл бұрын
You might try a thimble and an anchor knot.

you need a 2ft leader chain to protect it from cuts and nicks .

The nylon rope looked as if it was fraying? I realize that isn't a problem with the anchor but might be a problem none the less if you lose it?
@redsflyshop4 жыл бұрын
Oh no that was just the tag end, that is a brand new rope.

Do they make a winch for a stern drop anchor system, with the pullies in play? Or just a direct drop? I put a motor on my drift boat so it kinda switched things up. Just curious if there's something out there that you know of.

Great review! I have a 12'x 58" River Rat. Do you think I could get away with the 24lb anchor or should I go bigger with the 30 or 35?
@onisgagan24812 жыл бұрын
I have an 11 1/2 foot Watermaster Bruin and run the 24lb. I’m in Montana on some good size rivers, never had an issue so far…

I run both the 14# and 18# on two different WM Bruin boats (slightly smaller than your boat) and either is fine. I personally like a light anchor, so I would max at 24#, that will be a great match! We're ready to ship it, shop here - redsflyfishing.com/products/tornado-anchors-1

Great review of an interesting product, and helpful tips, too! I suggest a double-turn half hitch for a tighter connection without the bowline loop/tag end which could get hung-up...

Ok good idea, I think I can picture that yes.

Does it have ball bearings so those plates spin so freely?
@redsflyshop4 жыл бұрын
No, it has sort of a sleeve in the center. It works quite well its pretty impressive actually. No rocks or gravel have interrupted it's movement.

I was just watching trout tv and saw this guy fishing with Hilary Hutcheson and realized it was Joe!

So this is better than a 30 pound pyramid lead?
@redsflyshop3 жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh yes. It's grabby. Especially in gravel that is a bit softer. The sharp edges bite very well.

@@redsflyshop You still running the same anchor in the video a year ago? Havent had to replace it yet??
