It's NOT _ap-TOES_ California, it is _ap-TOSS_ California. Don't worry, everyone gets it wrong at first. It's right next to _so-KELL_ (Soquel) and near _sanna-cruise_ (Santa Cruz). This is how the locals say the names of these places. I know that's not how you say Santa Cruz correctly in Spanish. Then there's _las-GATIS_ (Los Gatos) or _loss-GAtis_ on the other side of the hill but now I'm just getting picky. Sorry.

Thanks for dropping the knowledge! I love the area, but never been to Aptos. Got married in Los Gatos in a great spot in the mountains, the owners of the property pronounced it the spanish way which I think I will stick with, but definitely going to work on saying the others correctly!
