It's not going to change how everyone has wildly different arm speeds which leads to different results. That's the entire reason people think flight numbers don't work to begin with when they actually are totally fine.
@longway2pro4 ай бұрын
The PDGA NEEDS to invest in this and include it in their testing to standardize flight numbers a little more during the approval process. Companies could still provide their own flight numbers, but if the PDGA assigned distance and +/- degrees of where discs land off of the throwing line, based on a standard arm speed and RPM speed, it would be absolutely lit.
@nsmith13884 ай бұрын
With the tech disc I'd love to see a lot more data collected at different skill levels too. The robot can easily be altered to beginner, intermediate, pro to get better flight charts with more accurate distances!! Better yet, have data to tell beginners to stop throwing destroyers :p
@thetjdman4 ай бұрын
Imagine flight numbers getting so accurate that it's like 12/5/-2.2/1.4 😂
@longway2pro4 ай бұрын
@@nsmith1388 my thoughts exactly! The PDGA could use the average RPM and Arm speed of each skill level to estimate how discs would fly for each skill level
@derpderpin15684 ай бұрын
None of that matters when amateurs and pros throw such a wide spectrum of arm speeds. The numbers aren't the problem. The problem is the fact that people expect a 9/4/0/3 to fly the same for everyone regardless of rpm.
@longway2pro4 ай бұрын
@@derpderpin1568 that's why you could have a variety of flight characteristics based on speed and RPM, so pros and amateurs can get an idea of where their disc will end up at their skill level.

By mounting a camera either on the Ditto, or right behind it and an anemometer, you can start collecting data on flight paths, depending on the variables. With enough consistent data, it should be possible to lock in the shots automatically, as long as the camera is able to see the basket, or maybe even possible with drone footage.

It seems the Ditto hits chains alot, but sticking the basket is difficult for it. The discs come in hot. Maybe Ganon is on to somthing with a an/hyzer release.
