I've been throwing the First Run Honor for a bit now, and I have to say I love it. Very workable, even for my arm, and beautiful in a headwind. Might have to pick up one of these as a backup.

@@BeaverBranch Very dependable. I think of it as sort of the longer Explorer. They both love to push straight with a reliable little fade at the end.

I love the fuse too and find the river to be the step up. The step down for me is the Keystone, but I am curious about your "fuse-flight" putter preference.

Sometimes I will use the Fuse when I probably could use a putter. Most often with my retro fuse on a simple hyzer flip. Might just be psychological, but I will throw it on a relatively short upshot (120-180’).

A glitch definitely has that glidey, point and shoot with very little fade flight. Just doesn't have the excellent feel of the other two.

I bag the 2023 Lauri Lehtinen Explorer, but the one I have is clearly more flippy than yours. It's pretty much identical to my very beat in Opto Explorer. The only truly overstable Explorer I have tried has been the 2020 Lauri Lehtinen Opto Chameleon that was flatter and had way stiffer plastic. I prefer the feel of the Explorer over the River, but my biggest issue is that the Rivers I have fly the same lines but get 20-30' more distance.

Those 2020 Opto Chameleon Moonshine Explorers were like 7 speed Felons! Interesting difference between your 2023 Explorer and the one I threw in the review. I wonder how quickly the Gold Orbit discs will beat in? I like the Explorer, good, dependable fairway! I still bag a pair of the 2X RW Optos!

I don’t disagree! I see the Striker has recently been back in production. How does it compare to these? I see they did an Opto Ice run! I have a friend who loves the Striker, but I know it was a hard to get disc for a while.

@@BeaverBranch Opto-Ice ones are closer to Gold ones than Opto ones in flight (so better imo). They are more stable than the Explorer, but don't have a lot of lateral movement in flight

@@BeaverBranch that might be a really good estimate. It holds the line you put it on with quite a lot of power, might flip up just the tiniest bit, and fades reliably. Unless you have 500+ft/150m+ power, in that case it is a beautiful straight flier. The rim feels bulkier in hand than in these other discs which for me is a good thing. I love the feel of it and it gives me confidence to really power up on it. Don't know why, but it really does 🤷🏻
