Interesting how these are flying for u. I hyzer flip my tursas to get a ton of turn. I have to power down and throw a little high or it will even end in a cut roll. I didn’t think I had a faster arm but ig I must. And I’m around 4,500 ft above sea level

My benchmark for throwing putters (after grip/hand feel) is backhand turnover and flick approach shots. I found that if a putter feels okay in my grip when I'm throwing with power then most of them finish pretty close to the same distance, either a bit left, right, or straight. The make or break for me is when I'm throwing touchy turnovers and flicks on approach. Some discs definitely work better than others for these shots. Over a few years I've tried nearly every Trilogy putter that you have in this video. Much to my surprise the Judge has been the most consistent for me on approach, while getting really good distance driving. It also works decently well as an inside the circle putter. I guess there's a reason it's such a popular putter.

I've tried a lot of 7 speed discs, and the River is by far and away my favorite for anything but a headwind. Snapped out flat with power it will carve a subtle ess and float down with almost no fade, reaching amazing distances. I can flip one to flat off a gentle hyzer, or get a really long, pushing hyzer with a steeper angle. On anhyzer the River will just carve a beautiful glide to the right, floating to flat for extended distance. I found my first River lost in the woods off the side of a fairway, with no name and already a bit beat in. On a whim I tried it on the next hole, where it perfectly threaded a tight wooded line to slide up 15 feet from the basket for a birdie. Right there it bumped the Maverick out of my bag.

This is a beautiful course compared to what I've got to work with in nd. Looks very well kept. And solid arm man. I'm usually only good for one of 2 throws at each hole. Just picked up a couple new lucid ice plastics at the discount price. Raider and a trespass.

In a recent review from six sided discs, the lucid glimmer escape got like 50+feet more than the lucid. They were really surprised by that. I wonder how that one would compare with the Saint. Was your escape stamped as opto or opto glimmer? You said it has flakes in it, so I'm wondering if it's the same or different.
@BeaverBranch
@BeaverBranch 4 ай бұрын
Great question! I don’t think I bought that run as Lucid Glimmer, but they do have some flake action in them. They do fly far and great as a lower arm speed driver. (I circulate 3 orange lucid ones through my bag, love them for a straight shot through the woods).

I recently got a zero soft Keystone as a second throwing putter and I’m loving it so far. It really wants to hold the angle you put it on and then just come to a dead stop without any weird ground play. I didn’t even think about using it from C2 but will try that next round. Nice review!

Any chance Beaver Branch is going to take a look at the new Lat 64 Brave? Would love to see that vs Maverick vs maul. I’m sure too flippy for your arm speed but you are good at powering down and showing how they fly for us slower arm speed dudes. I hear people saying it’s at least -2 turn but I don’t think it’s as flippy as the maul. Or it seems to fight back better anyway.
@BeaverBranch
@BeaverBranch 6 ай бұрын
I haven’t been able to get the Brave. I have thrown the Brave versus a Maverick (someone let me throw theirs). It was very close. The Brave snapped straight that the same arm speed and angle as the Maverick, and had a little bit of fade at the end. It has more done than the Maverick. The Maverick was Lucid. I think the Royale plastic beats in pretty fast, so I would be interested to see how it flies after throwing it for a while. It was easy to straighten. *This is based on 4 throws on each of them.*

@@BeaverBranch thanks man! I’ve been on a 2 year quest to find something that flies like a slightly beat in DX plastic Teebird. Which I think flies like 7 5 -2 2 and is easy to flip but fights back good. The Brave may be the closest I’ve found so far but I don’t have a lot of reps with it either. Always dig your content!

@davesage4931 thank you, thank you! I wish I could make some more, but current sponsorship doesn’t do discs like Trilogy Talk did! I need to do some networking and get a connection to get discs to test! I would agree that the Brave could fly like a beat in TeeBird out of the box.

The Underworld is my favorite fairway driver for wooded courses. It effortlessly hyzer flips with minimal power. Perfect for 170’ - 250’ tunnels or narrow gaps, standstill shots, left to right backhands, etc. it won’t take much power without rolling but that’s what makes it so easy be accurate with it.

Bmo compare opto havoc to opto ice havoc. I use my opto as my distance roller just got an opto ice i swear it flys like a raider zero flip up bh or forehand so stable it seems to actually fly true to the -1, 3 in the opto ice. But the others its like -3 ,1 turn fade i was so astonished when i threw it

NOT the most deceiving flight numbers in Innova's staple. I would compare this, in that I have done this my-self to Innova Beast as that the flight path is close to the same only that The OPTO Saint definitely has more glide for about 260-280ft max distance drivers. So as a beginner this can be perfect straight disc driver with great glide. Reliable performance in all conditions. Recommend for any beginner as a good upgrade from using an Innova Beast. Great video!
