Hello, I stumbled across your video by typing #discectomy into Instagram. Just watching the videos now but thought I’d say thanks as every other video I can find is by some doctor or physio therapist who obviously knows their stuff... But doesn’t relate to me. Im no athlete but the gym and maintaining my fitness and strength are massive in maintaining a healthy mental state. Not being able to due to L4L5 and L5/S1 disc herniation is getting me down. I’m a firearms cop in the 🇬🇧 so I have to wear the ballistic vest, tac vest carry all the kit etc so finding a video by someone I can relate to is brilliant... I just want to work so whatever can be done to get me back I’m up for... I shall watch the rest with interest 👍🏼 Thanks.

I literally have the same problem on my l1 s5 disc. I also wanted to see an athletic point if view since all the videos I saw was just people who aren't athletic. I'm planning on going to ranger school and airborne school and needed to hear someone who is athletic with the same problem, thank you for uploading, it definitely helped cope with the idea better.

Yes thank you for your videos. I watched all of them. I too am an athlete. I played four years of college soccer but I also am in a lot of pain and have had 3 sets of cortisone shots already and one toradol. I am now considering surgery.

I am having the surgery on Monday, September 20. What you describe is almost exactly the pain and symptoms that I am seeing. (I have an L5/S1 herniation) These videos were extremely helpful. Thank you!

Anyway after surgery had worse nerve pain than I was having , watching you video helped because you also had the pain after ... it let me relax a bit before my post surgery appointment. Glad you did this thanks ! 8 weeks post now starting to feel better ( like you very active but haven’t been able to do much for just over 2 years - had to do surgery ) 8 years epidural shots
