@amblefire Each model had different heft built into the rear end and transmission. Bigger axles for higher HP models, more or less clutch plates for each depending on hp, two or 4 pinion differential. There are a lot of differences. Many parts could still be swapped from one to another. I read once increasing torque by 10% decreases power train life by half. We run everything pretty close to stock hp. It's just smart.

@funny1farm Put a delco on and be done with it. That's what I did and check you injectors and pump. My 7050 doesn't need ether unless it's below 40˚ F but I always plug in the block heater and even at -30˚ F it starts with out ether here in the North Star state. :-)

how much plow will that thing pull? do you even have to plow these days? i should say can i just buy a disk harrow for now or do i have to plow first? 20 acres. thanks.

we always ran our ether eatin allis' with the windows open too we couldn't use the ac cause it would drain the batteries due to the fact that the $700 niehoff alternators died all the time

Its not 7045 because it does not have the black undercarriage.Its either a 7000,7030,7040,7050,7060 or 7080
