This is just an ok song from their catalog. I think you would enjoy Disciple’s older music from Southern Hospitality or older.

This song was I think my introduction to Disciple and I really enjoy it. Like others have said though this is a different version of the song as the original is slightly more subdued than this. Still a nice version though, and perhaps the requester simply prefers this one over the original (nothing wrong with that). As for Skillet comparisons I could see that, but you may be surprised to hear that Skillet is actually younger than Disciple (1996 compared to 1992).

So it seems this is the anniversary edition produced by Howard Benson. Apparently, in a Q&A, Disciple said they weren't happy with it. Still great though.

I'm not sure I enjoy this version... The original was so epic when it was released! There are many Disciple songs that I think you would be more impressed by.

Automatically from the start I can tell you that’s a remix. Idk why someone would give you a remix. That’s awful there. The real version of the song is great. To clarify, the remix isn’t actually all that bad. It’s awful that someone would give you a remix instead of the original. Generally I absolutely hate remixes, but this one isn’t actually horrible. It’s rare for me to enjoy a remix. The Letter Black is about the only other band whose remixes I can tolerate. Btw the original still uses strings. What’s different in this remix is the filtered drums and guitars and a couple of extra backing vocal lines and a little extra harshness on Kevin’s voice. By a little I really mean a *little* cause his voice is always harsh and gritty.
