So like "The Offering" before we have yet another song that is encapsulating your whole Sleep Token journey. :-) And I love that even after all this time, you're still shouting out "Fields of Elation." Nice. That's such a great Sleep Token track and so is this. Now I want to reach out to those of you who have left comments before attacking me and my choices for David's reaction to Sleep Token. Let's take a step back and consider his videos on tracks like "Sugar" and "Fields of Elation." Did you honestly think he was going to be so into "Sugar" as he ended up being in this video? And what about "Fields of Elation"? Did you predict that he would end up loving it as much as he has? (and yes, David has used the word "love" when it comes to "Fields of Elation") The truth is, we can never be sure what David is going to like or dislike. And as you can see from this video, even he doesn't know! Exploring music is always an adventure, with ups and downs for everyone. So, let's not attack people if David or another reactor doesn't enjoy a song that was requested. We will never know for sure what you, me, or anyone else will like before we end up actually hearing it even if we think we do. I'm taking David on a journey with Sleep Token that will lead to TMBTE. Let's not be mean around here. Instead of focusing on the misses all the time, try to appreciate the surprises along the way. Like how David keeps being taken aback by the songs he ends up liking, even when he wasn't expecting to. Those are the moments that make things like this fun. So let's just enjoy the ride. And now to you, David... I've seen you rewind videos for guitar solos and breakdowns. But man... for a transition? haha! I don't remember that before! Nice! You're not really a lyrics guy, I know, but it was cool to see that the overall feeling of the message of "Sugar" still came through to you with just the music. I also enjoyed hearing your whole breakdown of how the song moves between major and minor chords, and how Vessels' vocals change up in the different sections. It was great to see you make those observations! I enjoyed the video, man. Thanks!

I had the same reaction as you on this one. I didn't mind it in the beginning and wanted to see where it went, then that drop comes and I immediately added it to my playlist. The change up in the feel from beginning to end becomes more appreciated after the first listen through, making that beginning easier to digest as a metal fan.

Sugar is one of my favourite Sleep Token songs, I'm thrilled you liked it as much as you did. Vessel is an incredibly talented songwriter and composer, and in my opinion, this is one of the songs that really showcases that.

I sware the recommender is choosing all of the sleep token songs that I listen to the least. Who the hell is recommending this sleep token playlist. It’s getting infuriating at this point. They genuinely don’t make bad songs, but it’s as if they are intentionally keeping the best songs away from you with the exception of the offering and higher. I’d recommend for heavy/unique Hypnosis The summoning Vore Chokehold Granite Take me back to Eden Gods High water Aqua regia For gorgeous, I’d recommend Jericho Blood sport the room below version Drag me under Loving the honest reviews Mr. Heretic.

@@DaRunningManSubs I’m glad David ended up liking this song. I will reiterate, I don’t think sleep token make any bad or throwaway songs. They all stand on their own, and even my non favorites always have a redeeming factor whether due to artistic bravery, creativity, or just being different than anything I’ve heard before. That being said, it is difficult to predict someone’s tastes. Fields of elation and sugar are both in my five least replayed sleep token songs, but David enjoyed them. I’m glad he did, and I too enjoy them. There are simple many more songs that sleep token has to offer that I think David could sink his fellow musician teeth into. I am very much looking forward to his reaction to blood sport the room below. The studio version is amazing, but pales in comparison. TRB version really is heart-wrenching.
