Hello Thomas! I have a question regarding royal line plastic. I am a big fan of the especially the Rive, but Ive noticed that it gets very slick (more so than other similar plastics) when wet. I only have very early runs of Royal, so my question is this: have you guys over at L64 tweaked the blend for this for your newer runs of royal plastic, or is it still the same as the first run Rives? Big fan of your discs and your youtube videos and I hope to throw more trilogy and see more fun content :)

Man I’m not sure what I like more. The Royal Grand plastic or the K1 nontransparent plastic. But I do know this video has convinced me to give the Vanguard a try!

To be fair, the vast majority of Kasta that I (or anyone else lol) has ever felt is on a Berg or Reko, and while it is absolutely top of the line, it's a little soft for me when it comes to how I want my drivers to feel

I really dig Royal line plastic too, but I do have a slight problem with it. It gets very slick when even slightly wet, much more so than other star-like plastics. I only have the very early runs of royal line though, so they might have fixed it by now. If it wasnt for that slickness I would for sure be bagging a few of the molds. The Rive especially is super nice when it beats in a little IMO.

It hasn't rained a single drop in the entire state of Texas for like 6 months so I've honestly forgotten what it feels like wet 😂 I definitely agree with you on the Rive- that's my distance driver of choice

First ever KZbin comment here- Nothing Discmania is a “Thunderbird clone.” If anything, a Thunderbird is a PD clone because everyone, including McBeth, was starting to figure out how awesome the PD was and bagging them. Also, for many years the C-line and S-line were both less overstable than more recent runs and held straight longer than early Thunderbirds. I have two ~2016ish Star Thunderbirds that have always been slightly more overstable than two S-Line PD’s from about the same time. Further, the Millennium Orion LF is even older and also shares the Firebird lower wing that the PD and Thunderbird both use and essentially fills the same role- except it’s more like a “longer Eagle” than a “longer Teebird” like the other two.

Welcome to the comment section! 👊 Yeah discs have changed a lot over the years with different runs and whatnot. I'm just looking at how the Vanguard compares to DM/Innova's current lineup (though obv you can go snag an older Thunderbird/PD if that's your cup of tea)

I would watch a comparison of disc damage off a tree if you can get a one time sponsor willing to provide several discs for the cause. I could effortlessly bounce some off stuff with my game, but I gots no time 😂
