hey Quill just letting you know, I did a playthrough on this on one of my other channels. If you dispute the claim and mark it as a playthrough they normally will release the claim within 3-4 days and you can monetize it. Talking about this game specifically. just make sure you argue the usual stuff: transformative, not a substitute for the original, purpose of the video (entertainment, analysis, etc.)

Lets go! I'm 40 year old and I've been playing games for 25+ years. I played many games, but only a couple of dozens truly wowed me. And most of moments like this were when I was still young - Civ6 might be a great game, but it won't blow you mind away the same way Civ3 did. Vast majority of games iterate on previous mechanics and from those that are don't only chosen few are any good. So the older you get - the more grateful you are for games that manage to truly amaze you. Disco Elysium was one of those games for me.

Always feel like the one piece of practical, non spoilers advice to be given on character creation is, don't worry about locking yourself out, focus on creating the character you want to create and commit to that personality, the game will reward you for it. It's akin to that cool dungeon master that knows that failure is often an opportunity to make the game more interesting.

Seriously! Everyone assumes that a high-FYS character would get less dialogue options or something, when really you're just as talky, you just... think like a brick. Not even stupid, just a different kind of intelligence (and paranoia). It's frustrating to me that despite all the text during character creation, it doesn't spare a moment to tell you that. Pretty much every playthrough on YT is INT / PSY because of people getting conditioned by other CRPGs.

This game is a rare bird. Feels like a collective of role-playing artists coming together to create a world and a game… Which is exactly what this is! You’re gonna have so much fun on both the streams and playing on your own. I’m currently trying to play Donald J Detective jr, and making the choices he would make genuinely hurts my soul…

The best part of Disco Elysium is that you truly are best just rolling with the punches. Failing at things does not always mean a worse outcome. In fact the greatest reward you get from the game is interesting situations. Failing a roll can often lead to a more interesting situation.
