Rawov Un Lupin with disco lock as a deck, with the quest, thats the entire point.. get the quest online as fast as possible, while hopefully discarding clutchmother, and jekliks, then just run over your opponent with soulwardens, and everything you’ve been discarding since... this deck i believe is best as a midrange deck.. you dont need voidlords, or skull... it works against the entire point of discard lock right now.. as you want your lakkari felhounds and doomguards to actually discard stuff, not be cast without discarding.. i could keep going.. but.. whats the point.. lol.. have a nice day! Tyler Liu I agree, he's kinda just going more into cube and less into discard since it just ignores the discard mechanics. Also there are much better versions of the deck that use feathering and cataclysm, without lanathel. Even in this deck it's too slow to be played at any time and it's kinda just a "win bigger" card, it's never been useful so I cut it for howlfiend which is amazing in combination with jeklik.

R3215TANC3 skull is good cuz it provides an alternate win condition, like if you have Guldan in your hand and u don’t wanna discard it. Lanathel is garbage and definitely be replaced. But skull might not be as important now because you have more targeted discard cards like “discard your lowest cost card” but it wins games if not dealt with. Its kind of like Alluneth in tempo mage

@@diablofrag2177 lanathel is fine in discolock. a 5 mana 7+/6 lifesteal is a lot of stats for a deck that benefits off of flexibility. consider that the closest comparison for 5 mana lifesteal minions that specifically don't have rush and divine shield is a 4/4 bloodworm. the card is a reasonable enough pick for that 3rd to 4th piece of the discard synergy.

Discard isn't a deck architype you can do half way. You should treat it like a combo deck, rather than midrage/conrol. Just adding some discard mechanics will deprive the deck of it's other good cards. In order to work and generate enough value/tempo to make up for the drawback, discard has to be around 50% - 70% of your deck.

Instead of making the strongest play every turn, he always thinks of future turns when all you need to do is race them. Look, its still probably not that great, but man does it feel good to get infinite Jekliks. She really helps to make you not discard your actual good cards as often just by being so present in the hand at all times... that said.. still too much randomness in Disco lock for it to be actually competitive. Its possibly fun, but probably isnt competitive. Blizz IS pushing it in a better direction with the targetted discards and the +1 of discarding jeklik (instead of the -1 of discard and like the +.5 of discarding Zavas), but its probably not there yet.

To anyone who thinks you wanna put control into discolock, I recommend checking out the recent Tespa Collegiate Championships that happend a couple days ago. One of the college teams (can't remember which) decided to run 2 decks that never lost, and a control warlock with quest that went 0-3 every single time. Spreading your deck like this is a terrible idea

Before watching I knew that the thing I was expecting: 1. Grab a discard lock deck. 2. Modify it a bit, to be "original" and put in a package that has nothing to do with discard. 3. After 1-2 matches start removing discard cards and modifying the deck to resemble more of a controll warlock. I just don't get why Trump isn't able to play non-regular decks. He just auto reverts anything unorthodox to a half-orthodox deck in two games, than concludes that the orthodox deck is superior. :(
