Hit 65% on my first 3 days of solo picking at the new warehouse. It's hilarious because they want us to do zone stacking but every single picker I've spoken to on the floor has pulled me aside and said just make sure it's on the right pallet and you're fine. While I was getting my battery changed I actually had one guy come over, tell me he was going to show me something, and then restack my pallet for me ignoring the zone stacking thing. I'm not sure if this is just the way they do things on the floor or it's warehouse vs drivers but whatever!

Nah dude same where I work. Trainers advise you to not zone 😭 makes me feel bad seeing new dudes with 6 cases of the same thing on their first pick, but put them on opposite sides of the pallet lol

Yup seeing the trend where i work new company took over the rate is 10x harder than before they get the same if not more cases out the door but without having to pay larger incentives. Irs possible but way hardee than before

I'm in the UK and I used to work for small companies but now I've worked for the big companies, you're right, they just want a revolving door of employees. I think I was told that the reason is, is that it makes them look like a good employer that gives a lot of people jobs...besides other things. They win some poxy award that they've created and the managers can attend award dinner nights. You're right about benefits too, old timers have entitlements and they want to phase that out. definietly correct with that one.

Hey Tim. i hope your weekend is winding down nicely. With regards to the first part of the video. As long back as I can recall Upper management/Ownership is of the mindset, We'll suffer a little bit now (with the senior people) while knowing that they'll makeout like kings in the end. With senior people rolling out the door. I work in the produce section of my warehouse and I've never seen corn come in bags. I always see corn in these flimsy wooden crates(six block) One other thing, Those bulky onion bags usually fitt in nice in the middle of any five block potatoes or five or six block carrots.

Our corn crates come in 7 block. Bags I believe is a 3 block

If you're using plastic, never put a heavy bucket in the middle, learned that the hard way.

@jakepass27 why?
@JakePaas3 ай бұрын
@@NickGareis plastic pallets can be slippery and buckets slide, even on wood.
