I love guys like this that collect what they like with the full intention of doing something with it, not just something to flip. There’s always an interesting story behind the motivations for acquiring it more than “I saw this thing and knew I could make a ton of money fixing it up. Nothing wrong with that, but the story is the same for every one of those purchases. 👍🏻

The Prowler concept was actually based on Chip Fooses’ senior college project that was sponsored by Plymouth when he was in design school. I think the project was called something like “Hemishere”. The final design was not all of Chips work, but he was definitely a major part of the inspiration of that final design. The Peowler project is what kicked of Chip’s career for sure. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

What a guy, what a collection, and yes Chip Foose did design the Prowler for Plymouth, he entered his rendering in a contest and they picked his design. I seen the whole thing on Jay Leno`s garage with Chip, of course he wanted a V8 in it, and Chrysler said no way, thanks for taking us along.

Getting a white interior in a Superbird was not a "special order" type of deal. It just was't as common as the black interior. A white on white 'Bird isn't very common, but since you couldn't get AC in those cars going with a white interior was the smart choice if you lived in the hot southern states.

The "Blus Streak" sign refers to the heavy-duty parts line of Standard Motor Products which is still located in Long Island City, NY (Queens county) in New York City. It is still run by family members but has been a publicly traded company since 1977. At one time many of the parts were made at the Long Island City facility, but for several years they have been made at other facilities. Sure there is a way to tell if that's a 1994 Viper. Look for an "R" in the 10th digit of the VIN on the dashboard. That denotes a 1994 model year vehicle. This fellow is a real gentleman and is a very friendly and easy-going man. He's someone that you can easily spend an afternoon or more just sharing stories.

I hope he puts it on a rotisserie before his son comes home. I get that he would like to do it with his son. But since this is his dream car. He should tell his son. I want to drive this car. If your not home by this date I’m starting on it. He could enjoy it and still work on it occasionally with his son. Then leave it to him.

I love the way this guy says "Western Aut---toe...He has the speech pattern of Rain Man but from the south meaning he repeats himself but compacts the same information down into smaller phrases as he comes to the end for example "This safe weighs 4000 pounds and came out of a bank in 1935...4000 pounds!! hasn't been open since 1935 yup i am the 4th owner since 1935" Of course I am paraphrasing what he said but Man i could listen to him talk all day

I really cant find much info would yoi happen to know rare it is? the other is a 1958 Doge sweepside truck. I've read that there is only 60 konw to survived. I thik mine maybe number 61.

Chip Foose did design the Prowler. They just didn't put the engine he wanted in it. He wanted a larger motor. I saw a video about it; I think it was Jay Leno talking to Chip Foose about it.
