Paul and Kim, how absolutely lovely walking through Beer with you. I so enjoy things like that water/well pump, the church and seeing those colourful planters everywhere. You say you visited here with parents and other family - what a gem of a place to have so many warm memories. The knitted letterbox, the book-phone booth All so cool. And that coast - I love the Cornwall coastline. So glad I have had a small taste of it in 2023. St Michaels is a beautiful church. Thanks Kevin. Beer is just lovely. Many a day spent fishing from there with Dad and Kim’s dad too. So many memories. Didn’t film my emosh moment. Ha ha. Yes two drones. Used on the day. With the NEO used for the walking shots in the beach. It is a very good bit of kit. And good price too.

Nice looking village and quite a history and spoilt for great looking church's. Not that keen on the Spaniards coming her and nicking out woman mind but good that the village brigs back good memories for you. I have seen sandier beaches before but a nice crunching sound when you were walking and what a perfect wind free day to fly the drone. Coffee and a sandwich seemed a good way to end it for the day, cheers Alan

Hello Watto and Kim, ive heard of Beer but we have neot visited. Looks such a lovely seaside place to visit. loved the thatched cottages, such a pretty village. it was so nice to see the water running along side the pavement. I loved your intro and its music. I do love Devon and this certainly is a lovely little village to visit. The architecture is just so pretty. The beach, its big slope and its shingle reminded me of West Bay in Dorset a little.

I've heard of the village of Beer, never explored there so this was FANTASTIC to enjoy Mr Watto and Kim! 🍺It reminds me of Looe kinda, but like you mentioned about the houses, the flint buildings are just so pretty and interesting. So cool that it has kept to it's small village status, love these hidden gems. Great that you got up early to have a wander, it really seemed like you had the village to yourselves! Stunning history of Beer Church, interesting to hear about it's roof and organ. Wowee, those views over the 'bay' that is the money shot! Bet the place is rammed in the summer. It very much looks the kinda location Brett & I would enjoy so thank you very much for putting it on the map for us. Beautiful aerials over Beer and the bay with the mammoth amount of boats!! Ooo Crab sandwich and a coffee, what a way to finish the day!! Excellent video!

Thanks Alessa. It is just lovely there. Due to its location it can’t really be developed either so hasn’t changed much or won’t which is great. Always an early start for us 🤣. It gets busy in the summer but not too bad as not well known and parking is also very limited too. But I think that’s a good thing. It is impossible to visit without sending the bird up. Glad you enjoyed it. Would like to see you film there. Lots more history to it. And there are caves and a model railway that I didn’t feature. Have a great weekend both. 👍🏻🚶🏻‍♂️🚶‍♀️

We've visited Dorset regularly but Devon less so, Beer looked fantastic so it will be on the list of places to visit when we next return to the West Country. Great tour although I might give the walk along the shingle beach a miss - Seaham is bad enough, it's hard work!

When I saw what you later named as 'Beer brook' I thought that's just like what foreigners in Japan call 'gaijin traps'! Gaijin are foreigners, and many places urban and rural in Japan have these large open drains due to the heavy rains. Many a drunken foreigner has fallen in, hence the 'gaijin trap'! Sounds like the same in Beer!

Ah I see. a bit different here as the river runs down the valley and instead of running straight through the village is diverted through these kennels. But i am sure a few unsuspecting kids have fallen in when not concentrating.
