Love my hometown but I wish they’d do more for the economy to bring in high tech jobs; they rely too heavily on Fort Bragg; it has so much potential but they city needs to do better.

I’ve been in Fayetteville for 9 years. This city isn’t that great. The mayor is a joke and the previous police chief didn’t stand up to the looters in 2020. Another commenter on here said it doesn’t matter where you are in the city no place feels safe at night. They are absolutely true. The numbers mentioned about business in Fayetteville leaves out some info. Specifically downtown business come and go so regularly because it’s too expensive in the downtown area. Longevity of local business is hard. This was shot during Christmas time, and it does look pretty, but not like this all the time. The Dickens Holiday this past year was a joke compared to years past. They stopped using the market house as the focal point and addressing the town and doing the countdown. Bottom line, this is a high crime city, murderers, drugs, prostitution, pedophiles, you name it, Fayettevilles got it.

the city isnt great. If you drive around no matter where u go you will see junkies, homeless people, crackheads, and run down destroyed buildings. At night regardless of where you are (high income areas, low income areas) you wont feel safe going to a store, etc. High crime city, ive lived here for years, its terrible
