What if I need to merge two solutions having a document library with unique features but sharing the same URL? Such a conflict can't be solved other than recreating the second solution manually. The only thing that can be done would be to create a new document library, go to the other solution and just export the forms with features and import these to the new document library. So it would be nice to see a "rename" to solve a conflict instead of force overwrite or deselecting a list or library at a merge. Many thanks for taking this into consideration for a future release/enhancement of the merge feature.

Lists and libraries with same URLs are recognized as the same list/library during importing its configurations during solution merge. It's not planned to implement a "rename list/library" extension in the solution merge feature so far. But feel free to request that feature idea in skybow's community portal.
