Always good stuff bro. I was in Santa Teresa for the first time Monday and Tuesday April 11 & 12. Awesome beach and waves. Maybe I have missed it in your vids????? Have not really seen an introduction of your lady. A little about how you met, what she does for work, her thoughts about how more and more people are relocating to her country. Just curious. Cool seeing your take on life in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!!!

Hey Chenz I saw that little beach cottage advertised too and I thought that's where I want to live! Have been thinking that Pavones might be the right place for me to settle and start a little business there instead of Uvita/Dominical.Love the 'end of the line/world' type places and vibe. A little piece of paradise for sure.

Pavones is a great spot to be for sure! I have heard things about the land already owned, but im not 100% sure.. But yes the beach cottage vibe is dope

@@matthewgoodtimes3555 Hey Matthew, thanks for your input. Personally I very much vibe with that kind of place. I lived on a tiny island in the Caribbean for almost a decade and for a good part of that time with no modern conveniences such as a cell phone, home phone, electricity, city water, vehicle etc. My old bf and I live on part of an old sugar plantation that had been reclaimed by the jungle. We spent our days hiking and swimming, exploring, cooking etc and our nights out under the stars or reading books by candlelight during the rainy season. Never left the island once to go back to the US to even visit friends and family, although they came to me and I did enjoy visiting nearby islands. After that I spent time on a remote ranch in the Belizean jungle. Same deal. No electricity, no modern anything. They grew literally everything they needed to survive and thrive and still do. They build all their houses by hand. There are huge waterfalls and rivers and horses. I love it!! I love going to bed when it gets dark and waking up with the dawn. On "my" island, our neighbors were wild donkeys and wild horses and some goats. I think I will love Pavones and would like to give it a whirl, if you "Pavonistas" will have me. :) p.s. my business idea would be to look into starting a food cooperative. Do you think that is something that the town could use and would welcome?
@matthewgoodtimes35552 жыл бұрын
@@reinadelmar11 Actually getting into some kind of food prospering I think would do good in P-town. Prnding on when you time out your crops, it can be hard because there is no daylight chang! HaHa it gets dark at 5:30 all year round. So theres no extra sunlight hours for the flowering to kick off really hard. There is plenty of people that could help ya tho. Theres an Amish tribe that makes all kinds of breads and biscuits etc... They come set up at the point on Saturdays during the local market sales. You do know that 4 mile stretch of beach os divided into different pueblos,,,? My place is on the middle half way to the towny touristy party zone. We have a good 2 hand full of fulltime gringos on my road in Cocal Amerillo. Theres a surf shop and shaper right across from my place. Then my buddy that lives back with us , he is the biggest builder on that whole zona sur now. The place is gowing". If ya dont mind me asking what islands did y'all squat on ?!
@reinadelmar112 жыл бұрын
@@matthewgoodtimes3555 That's cool. Didn't know that there are Amish there but a friend was just telling me yesterday about the Mennonites ripping up forest in the Yucatan to raise cattle which sucks. Going to look into that. I live near a huge Amish area in Ohio and they do love their sweets and baked goods! Usually they are good at producing all kinds of stuff like honey, make soap and herbal remedies so thank you they might be a very good resource. Didn't know about the four different pueblos. That is cool. I lived on St. John in the USVI. First went there and to the island off of Vieques when I was a kid. I went with my best friend and her mom to visit a friend who lived in a treehouse on Vieques and after that I was hooked on the tropics. I always say that I must have a "tropical heart." Have been considering Brazil. I have a lot of Brazilian friends or back to the Islands but CR has called to me for a while so figured that I should at least check it out. Been chatting with Totem. I imagine you know her since it's such a small community. I grew up in a very small town in New England so used to that life. It is technically as island with forest interior with amazing fresh water quarries surrounded by ocean. Our joke growing up was that we wanted to blow up the bridge to be cut off from the rest of the world so you see I've always had such tendencies ha ha..What's the name of your cabinas?

Hey thanks! Na right before the border, its the end of Costa Rica

Nope....you can come from the north from Jaco down the pan american highway...bout a 6 hour ride and hang a right in rio claro toward golfito then hang a left at the bend in the road to Pavones. Signs are posted now toward Pavones however the road is still old school dirt and gravel for the last hour and a half to keep people out!!! One of the last wild frontiers left in the world with the second longest left wave next to Chicama, Peru
@matthewgoodtimes35552 жыл бұрын
@@jonhoffnagle869 Well broham no thanks to telling Jaco hell people how to shoot right into our not much more private village vibe left. Please if like Jaco or Dominical or any of these drunkin beach break neon light towns. I guarantee you and your renta car packed fulla people, there's a good chance of confrontation easily in the last wild frontier where there's nothing to save you if you disrespect the land. This is not a party zone !!
