Man, I am mesmerized right out of the gate. I am going to build a taiga zoo next for my franchise and I am getting so many inspirations here. The beauty lies in simplicity in this zoo and it goes really well with the mountain settings as well.

The vending machine captured my heart. Only a dedicated artist would spend a bunch of time doing something like that. I'll try that next with a coffee vending machine. I think a wee Dunkin Donuts coffee pod would be just adorable. The butterfly info wall is just awesome, reminds me of a zoo in southern Maine that I grew up visiting.

Honestly, not sure if I would visit this zoo in a wheel chair.. either you still need to go up a lot of ramps (the ide already would make me exhausted) or 50% of the time you are in an elevator 🙈 But I am not in a wheelchair.. so maybe people that are in a wheelchair would think differently 🙈

It simply becomes discrimination. Ramps are like stairs for people who can walk; it's not particularly satisfying, but it's a necessity!

I wonder if they turn down the animals' needs on land amount ? There were a lot of sea lions in that habitat but I didn't see much land. And wolves need crazy amounts of land so either they kept the numbers down or they had some hidden alcoves? I try to make beautiful scenes and sometimes find myself having to redo it due to land size needs.

Yes I thought that about seals too, I wonder if they had extra empty space behind the rocks? If you put all your enrichment and feeders as far away from it as possible you can sort of encourage animals to go there less often

Plants are just plants. I guess some animals should now be able to smell flowers or something.. but I have never seen that :) The grazing is just cosmetic, so they still need real feeders to be fed :)

how do some manage to populate the enclosures so beautifully with plants? Often my animals complain that I have put them too many plants purely. But when I don't, the enclosures often look pathetic. Can anyone give me a tip? 🤔😞

The tip is: just add whatever you like 😅 It really doesnt make them super unhappy overall as long as their wellfare is in the green you are all good 😊

There are also custom settings when building a custom zoo. Such as reducing needs, or entirely and many other things so you can more focus on creativity.
