Canon, you can't be disabling the 60fps in 1080p when using an EF-S lens. This is unacceptable. Fix in the next firmware update!

Any chance of coming up with an adapter that would allow the use of the older FD manual focus lens line with the EOS-R? This is one reason why I also shoot with the Sony A7R series (not to mention the in-body stabilization).

Wow, excellent point. Now, that Canon already has a FF mirrorless camera, the time arrived to fully support the excellent but abandoned FD lenses with a Canon digital camera. I used to be a Canon FD lens-adapter fan with speed booster on my Fuji APS-C camera.

According to the spec sheet, it remains 1x, there is no crop for still shooting on this camera with EF lenses.

Nope. RF lenses will only work on R series bodies. They're way too expensive to justify for most cases anyway. I upgraded from a 70D to an Eos R with the 24-105 f4, and literally the only lenses I'm considering snagging are used EF ones. High quality EF lenses on an 80D will be more than enough, and you'll be able to buy a couple lenses for the same price as one of the RF ones!

Kipon, and a number of other manufacturers have been making high quality drop-in ND filter adapters for Sony cameras for years. Nothing revolutionary here.
