If I keep the camera zoom at 24 mm in auto mode why does my field of view change when I go from Auto to P mode, even though it’s still at 24mm?

2025 year today , I hope and beg Canon that while remote live view shooting mode , not just working on the phone , let the camera working and screen visible. Pls do it Professional and great Canon.

has anyone ever managed to connect the EOS50 via cable to a MacBook Air? (And move photos out of the silly little thing to the laptop)? I'd probably pay for any advice.

The EOS M50 is probably the most useless and complicated piece of photo equipment I've ever wasted money at. Never managed to get any pictures downloaded via cable or via wifi to mac.

Good, simple, thank you! I had struggled to get the camera connected to the home WiFi router, and through that to the Canon Connect App on the phone. Now I've redone the connection set to use Camera as Access Point, which will be a lot simpler when traveling. Connection works -- but what about geotagging? When I get the photos over into the Android's Gallery, no location information shows. This is the REALLY important thing I would love to use this connection for somehow. Of course, I would be delighted to just shoot with the camera and let it only talk with the phone to get the GPS data it needs. Any ideas how to make that part of the equation work would be great!

Just to confirm; can I connect directly to my iPhone without an Internet connection outside? Wi-Fi or Bluetooth? My older canon S120 required local area connection through a router which doesn’t help me when I’m out about

YOU ARE GREAT -- but I am a slow learner about stuff like this especially as I can't easily SEE the tiny little symbols on it :-( But I'll watch you again and again with a magnifying glass and eventually maybe I'll know what I'm doing!

Why in Wi-Fi mode You can't send get GPS info to camera. So stupid. Want to have live view of shooting, manage ISO/shutter speed/aperture - choose Wi-Fi. Want to have GPS tag - choose Bluetooth. Want to have live view with all features at once - buy Iphone and install Shutter. An paid app only for iOS users that Cannon Connect should deliver in common for everyone. Also... don't get it why You can't transfer photo via Bluetooth. Yes, it slower but also, yes it's less power conspution overall.

This looks like a good alternative to using the built in screen, especially on the 5D MK IV (I also own two full frame mirrorless cameras). The screen on the 5D MK IV (as with earlier models) is fixed and cannot be adjusted to facilitate adjustment for easier viewing.

Nice tutorial on this awesome bridge camera...but! How do I set a 30 second exposure on my canon sx70 hs? The sx50 was SO simple. Go to Tv mode and dial it up to 15 secs. Seems to be missing on this updated model. Thanx

if i want to connect my bleutooth ,it says i need the app, so the first step already did'nt work, going to the app, clicking on bleutooth , it opened only details instruction, can and will you help me please?
