Well, Russ, you've been busier with additions this year than I thought. And my sentiments over your Top Ten *almost* align with your wife's: the only major point of departure is with the Casio Royale - it's clear that digital watches thrill her as much as they did Douglas Adams. My faves? It's a tie between the Seiko 5 Sports and Vertex chronograph. I've no idea how much that monopusher set you back, but I'm betting it's solidly on the opposite end of the price spectrum that the Seiko is. Least favorite? That G-Shock: bizarre as it might sound, I've never been too excited about G-Shocks overall. I could rap all day over Edifice and ProTrek models (not to mention that A1100D I'm patiently awaiting your review on), but I can't name a G that does it for me, and the metal versions, oxymorons that they are, appeal even less. And: just as with the Tissot PRX, I think Black Bay Fatigue is setting in with me. I suppose I'd feel different if I had one on my own wrist - look how much I go on about my Seiko 5 GMT - but the things are everywhere. Still can't knock 'em, of course. Thanks for sharing those ten!

Good list. I think the Vertex, the CWC and the Baltic are the three I'd be most likely to wear often. Of course, I'd make room in the box for the Tudor. Just not a big fan of digital watches in general. I'd like to be but the cheap ones remind me of how cheap they are and the $300+ ones remind me of how I should have bought another quartz or automatic. I'm still trying. That Vertex is a banger!

Taking a Q-Tip and some isopropyl alcohol to the case of the AE-1200 to remove that "World Time" and "Illuminator" text makes the watch look significantly better.

CWC are a great brand. I was issued a G10 when I was in the Army and I still think it is still the best watch I have owned, it was like losing a leg when I left and had to hand it back!

The Seagulls come with a warning to not let the 30 min.counter go beyond 30 min. I think if it does it could cause trouble and I plan to be careful . Love the "take it away" from the wife on the Casio .

You've got some nice watches there! I'm a HUGE fan of CWC, although I don't currently own any. I'm ex British Armed Forces, and although I never got issued a watch, I still think that the CWC watches are awesome. Not a clue what the policy for issuing them is / was, I've seen more people in the RAF that had them, rather than Army. It certainly wouldn't be Army policy to issue watches to someone of my rank / role, as I was just a piece of meat following orders, not paid or authorised to make decisions, so knowing what time it is is relatively irrelevant, as long as I'm 5 mins early for EVERYTHING. As far as the Black Bay goes, my personal fave is either the black one with the little red triangle on the bezel, OR the burgundy one, not the blue, but that's personal, and the blue is still a beautiful watch. I REALLY don't like those snowflake hands though (again, just personal preferance). The Seagull 1963 (fake one apparently with exhibition caseback from Sugess) is one of my fave watches, and possibly the one in my collection that I wear the most! It's got better accuracy than some of my Quartz watches amazingly! +1 sec every 4 days which is mindblowing to me! Great vid as usual, thanks!

Have the blue 58, think out of the two it's the more modern looking one and shouldn't look old if I still have it in the next 10/20 years, ordered the Sea Quartz on the second day of pre order (as you'll know through insta DM😉) those moaning about second hand lining up, it's 250 quid (350 with import) what do you expect it's no Grand Seiko, get a life, it's the coolest watch of the moment having the connection to Magnum and some genuine heritage with the owner involved, the fact I'm also getting a genuine Hawaiian shirt in the same design as Tom's is a massive bonus. Rest of the collection I'd have the Vertex and Willard, will try get the Willard cheap around the black Friday sales.

Great watches, I have the casio Royale and the full metal g-shock but in silver with the positive display. Recently I bought the Orient flight 2 automatic watch with the leather strap and is great value for the money.

These are some fantastic choices, I can see why you'd choose all of these and to pick a favourite is really difficult. I'm torn between the Seagull and the Momentum but I think if I'm really pushed I'd go with the Momentum because I could see myself wearing that daily, even though I've gone off dive watches a bit lately. All really nice watches though.

The Momentum Sea Quartz kind of reminds me of the old-school Casio Marine Gear, which was really killer back in the day. Used to have a Royale, but now I have an A-500, which is smaller, lighter, and has the exact same feature set. It's really great in hot weather, due to the 30/130 rule: you don't want 130 grams on your wrist when it's 30 C outside : ) The CWC Falcon 🤯🤤 No more CA-53W?

MWC: I am a long-time viewer. I see you are closing in on 100K subs. When you get it, I would be pleased to see the creator award somewhere in the video you make after its reception. Press on! As far as this video goes, in January of 2021 (SoCal Watch Reviews podcast) you said your favorite (non sedimental) watch was the Black Bay 58. Now it is the Vertex MP45. Both are hands down AWESOME. If I could afford one or the other, I'd be wearing the Vertex right now...lol. I am absolutely, unequivocally NOT a fan of Negative displays. Stop it Casio...aww the humanity! .🤣Be well.

Great choices Russel. If I was to add a contestant it would be the Longines Big Eye in steel with the black face. For me it's the most readable at a glance chronograph. I'll decline on what watch in your top ten that it might replace thou. Maybe a top eleven but then that opens up the flood gates and I'm likely to fall asleep after the first 18 hours of part one of seventeen best 7629 favourite watches sorry. Anyway a good selection in this video. I love that Zero West.

Hey Madman goodaye from down under 🇦🇺 love that Momentum, orange minute hands float my boat. Casio Royale in chrome is awesome on the wrist! The Baltic in blue is on my list of must have time pieces. Love it on the brown leather strap. CWC rocks, Swiss quality, super practical. This is the only Seiko I have liked in years, what a face 😮 however the movement sucks, come Seiko do it all new! Vertex are on 🔥 fire, what a great effort. Go Dambusters I bought an AV-8 Dambusters 80 year anniversary release last week, review that one, it's a GMT!

Mine is from 50 Casio to 27k rose gold jaeger. I have them all behind sealed glass, even 2 fakes in between (just wanted to know how the look on my arm;) (40 watches) fav breitling b09 very simple, haven’t worn one of them in 3 years. Wearing the ultra because I hate to carry my phone, I hate people playing with their phone and starring at it x hours a day. And I haven’t been to an occasion were a nice watch would shine. I am not working anymore, so no meetings.

Back in the day it was spend a lot of money for an overpriced Rolex or get the Chronosport. And that was pretty much it for dive watches that could actually go to 300m. IIRC each one was actually tested as well, so they were one of the last to put "waterproof" on their watches as well - for those dive models at least. Nice to see the company is in business again. Though... the originals were Swiss made movements and are worth collecting. These... I'd wear it and enjoy it, but not really see it as something to collect.
