WE HONOR AND REMEMBER. Beaufort National Cemetary is a somber and historically important site right in the heart of Beaufort, South Carolina. It's quiet and beautiful with the regional live oaks towering over the lines of small white headstones. An important stop for history and Civil War buffs. One of six national cemeteries that were established in 1863 for the burial of Union troops and sailors who died in the region during the Civil War.
The "Cost of Living" is much lower here in South Carolina, and TAXES are MUCH lower than in many other places to live.
