I suspect Nantuko will earn more points even if Nadu gets kicked to the curb. It won't be as hasty a climb to the top outside of Nadu but I think it will still eventually happen.

I got springheart in my sample cb, that came with the tricky terrains precon. He works so well with omo + helm of host. Cause I can bestow onto my copy of omo and make copies of my copy.

Nantuko goes infinite with Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Arboreal Grazer when combined with a bounce land, so it's a given that it will keep gaining points.

Boon Satyr is the only bestow creature in original Theros with asymmetrical power and toughness. I think they wanted to keep bestow a bit simple since in this way since it was a pretty complicated new mechanic, but they decided to give Boon Satyr a power boost so they gave it 2 extra power. For subsequent sets, they did way more asymmetrical P/T as that opened up design space and players would have gotten used to bestow by that point.

Only if it also gives Trample and Flying. 9 mana seems like a fair cost for so much power I think

8:05, I've seen people animate lands and attach Nantuko to it. Endless new untapped lands!

Note: The land needs to stay animated (i.e. it can't be animation that wears off at the end of turn), since otherwise the aura will fall off (it can only be attached to a creature).

@@andrewsparkes6275if you have something like lotus cobra in play you can just do an infinite combo in one turn though; mutavault and blinkmoth being some of the easier options.

OK - you get a land token and a new landfall -- but you need to pay 1G each time - no? Of course if the land produces two mana you can have unlimited number..

I am a minute in and that MH3 drop while discussing how Bestow works feels like a spoiler, especially for the #1 spot Alright, finished the video and am genuinely shocked Nantuko isn't 1st place yet, but it seems to be only a matter of time. It's a shame this list is basically all first Theros block cards and "that one MH3 card" because the bestow design is super cool. I want to see more of it

You should do a top 10 of all top 10's, looking at the top 10 cards with the highest score overall (not including banned cards)

Springheart Nantuko? And I'm only guessing that one because I don't know other bestow cards. Edit: I forgot about Boon Satyr, I remember that thing being everywhere back in that standard.

Springheart Nantuko and Detective’s Phoenix both did a ton of work for me at the MH3 prerelease. Very fun bestow creatures that I immediately put into commander decks after the event.

Springheart Nantuko is kind of stupid with the Turtle from Eldraine, since it triggers off Landfall and you're pretty much guaranteed to get a landfall each time you pay the token cost if you set up a graveyard correctly.

Springheart Nantuko (if attached to a Nadu) can also create another Nadu, allowing you to put the orignal into a a graveyard. This means you have a new Nadu giving your creatures a new ability, meaning it's effectively completely reset your twice-a-turn limit. It's usually best to Bestow it onto Nadu as you cast it (if you have the mana), since the Nantuko will fall off and remain as a creature to still give you insects afterwards anyway, once you do make a copy...and you don't need to immediately create a new Nadu anyway: You can wait until you have a handful of insects and new untapped lands to pay the "create a copy" choice, to make a new Nadu and reset the creatures' triggered count back down to 0.

Eidolon goes crazy in a Three Dog, Galaxy DJ commander deck. Due to the rules, you get token copies of him from three dog when you use his abiltiy

@@melenynder7136 turns out piggybacking off of Nadu takes you far in life. I bet that Shuko would also be railgunned to the top 10 Equipments off the same merit.

I was also surprised it WAS Boon Satyr cuz that was also the only non-MH3 Bestow I remembered. I didn't think it would have so many points though, I just remembered it being mentioned in one of these top 10s before.
