Just along the road to Tanjung aru hotel is a small food market ( it was there in 2015 ) the Chicken satay there is 100% the best i have ever had... I love Malaysian food.

You need to grow up in the area to appreciate the Kaya(coconut milk and egg jam flavoured with pandanus leave juice) toasted bread with that thick slap of butter that melts in your mouth... Paired together with the black thick local black coffee..yum. Soft boiled eggs in fresh soy sauce, dip in freshly toasted bread (without the kaya)..yum!!

I have been missing the food back home and that’s how I stumbled across your channel. Brought back lots of good memories. Aye sorry a late reply but im a sabahan and i would like to tell you that some of the restaurants here uses MSG but depends on the dishes. As for the Milo part, milo is this chocolate malt drink that is incredibly tasty and is loved by everyone who tries it! But milo isnt actually a Malaysian thing, it actually comes from Australia however Malaysia is really popular with milo hehe

Wow, this makes us so hungry! Everything looks absolutely delicious and so cheap! The place I am most curious about is where you get your food on a banana leaf, and where you also can have as much rice and veggies as you want. We have never tried pulled tea so we would also love to try that. I (marion) remember the coconut kaya from my Malaysia and Singapore trip. And Iced Milo...miss it so much! We will definitely rewatch this video the day we will go to Kota Kinabalu. Great food tour video guys!
