The college had a very, very fine reputation, especially in Theology, Classics, Philosophy, and Archæology, as well as Modern Languages. This remained the case until the retirement of VC Keith Robbins in 2003. After that, the college has been in the process of being dismantled piecemeal. The 'merger' with Carmarthen has been nothing but an unmitigated disaster for Lampeter - both gown AND town. PS The Charter should return to its cubby-hole under the Founder's portrait in Old Hall. Lampeter is NOT a museum.
