It was! Quite a lot to fit in but definitely a good few days seeing the main sights of Venice. I’m sure it won’t be the last time we visit.

We did! If we’d have had more time we would have done some of the other crossings but further up the grand canal they were shorter so we picked the best one.

Great video Laura. You're better than me, I wouldn't take the traghetto.. but I did enjoy the alilaguna from the airport. The area across the ponte Dell'Accademia was worth a visit alright. Was popular in the evening and nice promenade walk as well. I would have liked the rooftop view from the shopping centre but didnt have time as only there 24 hours. We found all the little streets really interesting and especially enjoyed walking around in the evening when it was quieter..totally changed my mind about Venice

Thanks Anne, we were staying further away from the main areas and so we didn’t get a chance to walk around in the evenings so much but I’d like to do that more if we return. That area over from the Accademia bridge was nice and certainly much quieter during the day. It was quieter in the evenings where we were, which was nice after the crowds in the touristy areas during the day.
