I am in the US southwest and the 50R with the 35-70 and 100-200 does it all.

Great video, straight talking and some stunning images. I've owned a 50r for a while now but have been using it with vintage lenses because I thought the Fuji lenses were overpriced. Then Fuji heavily discounted the 35-70 and I bit the bullet and bought one. Wow, now I get it. The Fuji lenses really are that good. So now I have my heart set on the 100-200 and that will be it for me. A medium format camera loaded with different "film stock" and different formats from panoramic to 6x6, coupled with two super sharp zooms covering (in 35mm terms) 28-160mm? Well let's face it, if I can't capture some great images with that combination.....then I'm incapable of capturing great images.

Ah such a good video! I wish I had a MF camera for my NZ trip. I went in December of 2018 and it was the most amazing experience and trip of my life. I hiked Mueller Hut and WOW I'll never forget it. Some amazing views and sensational the climate changes through the climb.

Thank you for the video and comments , at some point you also used GFX50SII , which one you prefer to use if you take mostly B&W

I’m currently looking to build a 50R kit because I’m young and it’s cheaper than ever at the moment! What lenses should I get? Anyone can out their input if they want🫡

Fuji GF 50mm 3.5 as your cupcake 🧁 lens. Mitakon 65 1.4 as your bokeh beast of a 50mm for the medium format look.

In actual fact the Fujifilm GFX50r (now that you can pick one up secondhand for less money than a new DSLR) is probably the best value camera in the world - I have the GFX100 after foraying with the 50s - I didn't like the 50s because it is far too fiddly a thing - but the 100 is astonishing - and I'm sure the smaller 100s is a truly great thing also - why there was no extra grip introduced for I have no idea and is the only reason I haven't switched - we Pros like big cameras - and it's not for the reason you might thin - to look impressive - it's for stability - the larger something is the more control you have over it!!

Really nice processing, Bernie! Are you using polarizing filters on your lenses?

Nice pics! ♥️ I own 50R as well (paired with GF50mm/2.8) Always wanted to try some telephoto optics but it’s pricey 😉 • Greetings from Ontario 🇨🇦

The GF50mm is a 3,5 - you should try the 80 or the 110 - astonishing is too small a word for them

Hi, I am looking to buy a new camera, I have currently been using the Sigma DP1 Quattro for the last 7 years & am now ready to upgrade. How does the GFX50R stack up against current FF 60mp sensors? I have been looking at the GFX100s & don't think I need something that big. I read stuff saying that the GFX50R sensor is 'old' & that FF has caught up in technology & image quality?

The mental gymnastics I am currenty doing between the XT5 and the GFX50R is horrible. I keep telling myself I don't need the 50R then I see videos like this and realise I do!
