Great video, Matt! I'm glad you are open to spirituality! This describes me perfectly -- it's been a year since we split and I still sobbed at this. The truth is that I already went through the pain of letting go of him and I find it unbearable to let go of him completely. He's exactly like the yellow magnet you described -- there in the background for years, sharing the same friends long before I fell in love with him. I don't know how to let go yet, short of moving to another city. Something tells me my red magnet isn't going away anytime soon. But seeing you describe it so simply, and saying that it can be done, gives me hope.

Matt you are absolutely correct. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. You are so right. I'm going to try to put aside my resentment and the contact with his children. We broke up but his 8 year old son has a problem with letting me go. He wants me to be his step mom but daddy has a new girlfriend. It's hard to reject the child. I don't know what to do in this situation. My rebound guy said that I should not deal with the kid and break all ties. What do you think Matt?

He died. My late husband, the father of our children, died 5+ years ago. We had a great marriage. I've spent the last two days watching your videos and discovered that we were already doing so many of the hints/tips you recommend. I'm learning how to make my next relationship wonderfully fulfilling and full of sizzle. And, I'm developing the confidence to recognize the difference between a Winner and a Wiener. But- HOW do I "release" that past relationship yet honor all that he was/is? You don't just "let go"... What am I missing? Thanks Mat!

I'm curious. Are you of the opinion that ex's can not be friends ever? Even when there aren't emotional ties or a negative emotional charge? I'm concerned that I'm blocking the man of my dreams because I'm friends, just friends, with an ex I dated for 10 yrs...however we were young from age 16 to 26. Side note: I am so grateful for your KZbin channel. Thank you so much for sharing all of your learnings with the world! Thanks! Monica

Matt, I do have a past relationship that really tore me down & brought me to my darkest hours, but have since moved past it and over him! do you have any tips or videos for people who have been in a relationship for a long time? I feel like most of them are for those are just getting to know the other person. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 7 years. It would be nice to see videos for making the relationship exciting or how to get my man to want to try. I feel like its always just me who always cares about these things but not him.

I think I have another kind of block... I've only had one relationship so far and it was a terrible experience. It wasn't that the guy was hurting me or anything but we just did not match and I still tried to keep the relationship going (3 years in total). I was miserable, I felt caged, I felt like I couldn't breathe because I let this guy take over my life. I really didn't recognise myself at times. I never let anyone else get close to me again - out of fear of losing myself again, of being trapped or missing out on life. Really, I am terribly embarrassed about that relationship and I would love to erase those years. However, for some time now I have been dating this amazing man and I feel like we could be great together but I often get (quite literally) some kind of panic atttacks and I just want to run away as quickly as possible. Do you have any thoughts on how to get over this fear of commitment?

Hi Mat, my dad died about 4 years ago, and I realize that is my block. We were extremely close and when he died I shut myself off from both men and women. Built a caccoon around me to keep everyone except my mom and brother out. How do I break through that caccoon to let a man into my life? Women are easier, and I have female friends again.

I know what they are, I just need help in getting over my nerves around a guy, being afraid. Yes, I know I saw the video there are risks. Well I'm not really a risk taker. Most of the time, I am comfort, routine but very rarely eventually after years I will change something. It just takes more time for me then most people. I don't get bored with things like most people, even when I do get a little bored I stick with it for a bit longer. There was a new possibility but same old pattern, same kind of feelings and out of the blue and I ran away once it seemed like he liked me. He is different, different hair color and different but same old pattern of feelings and how I noticed him and running away.

My husband and I are separated. He wants a divorce, I don't. I feel that I am still in love with my husband. He has stated that he isn't in love with me anymore. We will be married for 20 years this September. My questions are: How do I know or tell if I'm still in Love with him? Or is it just me being afraid of being alone? If I am still in love with him, how do I rekindle our marriage, his LOVE for me? How do I get him to fall in love with me again?? If that is possible. I want to know if I'm wasting my time and if so how do I move on? It's VERY VERY hard to just stop loving someone when you have been with them for so long and have truly loved that person. I've been there through thick and thin.. EVERYTHING..hard times and great ones and I have always been there for him. I am a very impatient person for one and I am also bipolar, I over over analyze, OCD, schizophrenia, insecure about myself. I'm telling you this because I have drove him away with all of my questions and accusing and not giving him a break. I also thought/believe that you are supposed to stick together no matter what, through ALL of the hardest times, good times.. unconditionally...when you LOVE that person. I feel that he has just gave up on me because he doesn't want to deal with me and my problems/issues that I have. I really do like your videos. Thank you for the insight that I have learned so far. Your talking about soul ties. That's why the Bible speaks about ''the two shall become one.'' It's a spiritual fact. If you sleep with someone you create soul tie with them. Then each time you break up you leave a little piece of yourself with them. Doing that creates a strong spiritual bond which is designed to be a single bond between one man and one woman for life Not a shredded, multi-stranded web connected to multiple people. That's exactly what tears people up inside. Understanding what has happened to you, expressing remorse, and asking God to break those bonds will set you free. But not if you are going to repeat the same mistakes.
