Hi, thanks for your feedback! 🌞I appreciate your attention to detail. This series was filmed pre-COVID, and the version of color studio I was using at the time wasn't as advanced as it is now, so the colors may appear differently on some screens. Thanks for the detailed descriptions of this style! I was categorized as a Summer way back in the 80's when Color Me Beautiful first came out, but there was no discussion back then of muted vs. bright. I've always suspected I am in this subcategory.

So well done and thanks for the notes on WOC - I was draped as a SSu but thought i was Deep Autumn/Winter for years bc no one talked about what a Summer could look like if you're not Caucasian

Hi, yes totally agree. When I was researching the spectrum of colors outside of the typical winter and autumn palette for WOC I was pleasantly surprised at that array of colors WOC can wear and borrow from Summer and also Spring; however, certain visual characteristics must be present. Yes, love this! I thought I was a winter for the longest because I heard that summers don't have brown eyes. And for a while the main examples for WOC who are summers were people like Rihanna and Leona Lewis who have hazel eyes. I was perplexed as to why my under eye circles were so dark until I discovered that I'm a soft summer. So glad this is being talked about more!

I am a soft summer, and my hair is ash blonde, not brown, with some silver and gray highlights. I think Jennifer Anniston looks fine with ash blonde hair.

Thanks for your feedback 👍🏽 I prefer her with subtle golden highlights as she can flow or borrow colors from the Soft Autumn Color season quite nicely. I find it balances her soft coloring. Color is subjective and shouldn’t be taken too seriously 😉

My main concern is my eyes. When I was younger they were warm rich brown. Now I got muted colours with one eye green brown and the other being gray brown. But overall they look dark and dusty

Sounds like you could be a Soft Color season. Cool or Warm will depend on other factors as well 🌞

I color analized myself with drapes and all, and always came to a result of SOFT SUMMER... buuuuuut.. my eyes are hazel brown but WARM! I have green , but also orange,golden tones in my eyes...my hair is cool brown... Can I be soft sumer even with warm toned eyes??

Hi, yes it is very possible. You maybe a lovely blend of both soft summer and soft autumn because they blend quite nicely together. I did a seasonal color test from different online sources and they all claim I am a Soft Summer, or more of a "shaded" one. But i can't tell if I am truly one. My partner thinks I am a Autumn. And some of my family think I am a winter. All I know is that no matter what color lipstick I choose, they often transform into a mauve or plum color on my lips which is often what is recommended for Summer types. Can anyone help me? I have naturally black hair and not mousey brown

Hi 🙂Thank you for sharing. You could possibly be a Cool Summer or Cool Winter with some hints of softness. If your lip colors appear more cool than soft and muted try experimenting with cooler colors from summer or cool winter palette. I also offer private 1:1 color consultations as well. Why didn’t you show any fair skinned ladies? I am very fair but my hair is ashy brown and eyes change from green to blue or gray based on my surroundings. I have been told I’m a soft summer but my skin coloring is the lightest shade possible. My makeup color is .05 to 1.5 based on the brand. We seem to always be overlooked in these descriptions.

Yes, there are a few of us out there! Actually thought I might be a light summer as I am so fair. look bad in all dark colors (too much contrast) I ended up being typed as a soft summer but told to wear the lightest colors in the season.

Every color analysis test I’ve taken says I’m soft summer, but I’m so confused because I have naturally red hair. My red is not very bright though, and someone once described it to me as a muted red 😂

@@RenaissanceWomanofStyle A few other notable color analyst pegged Markle as a Soft Autumn, but I think the Soft Summer suits her better. I agree, you have a lovely way of explaining things. Looking forward to the warm season, as I think I might be a Deep Autumn Woman of Style.
