For whatever reason, I read the thumbnail as: "How to become more autistic", and all I could think was: "I don't really need help with that."

Interesting video - I don't know much about Jungle, but I look forward to more layman's videos, thank you.

Glad you found it interesting.. check the other two videos and there will be a few more videos on Jung and will explore other thinkers and other concepts too

@@TrueSageJourney I just noticed that auto correct "fixed" my spelling of "Jung 🤔, but I can see you have put a lot of work into the video. Keep it up, once video starts appearing in people's "recommend listening" (as this did for me), you will, slowly at first, start to build up a following. Thanks again for your hard work 🙂

This is an unusually well done summary of Jung, and Ive read and heard a lot about him. Great job. I'm subscribing, absolutely. If there were a button I would've gladly contributed a few bucks especially for a presentation this excellent.

So why is the Self better if the Persona is the social aspect of the Psyche
@TrueSageJourney5 ай бұрын
From my understanding, the self encompasses our true, whole identity, integrating both our internal experiences and external interactions, while the persona is just a mask we wear for social situations. Focusing on the self leads to deeper personal growth and authenticity
@jackalope23025 ай бұрын
@@TrueSageJourney so this is the self before society. The Persona is best for others, whereas the Self only benefits one's person.

I have found Jungians to be consistently muddled thinkers, starting with Jung himself.

Complex: Yes. Muddled: No Jung’s corpus of work is extensive, interconnected, deeply theosophical, and ontologically anthropological in my opinion… but his views are definitely well explained an unmuddled

Just say you don't understand
@bobthabuilda15255 ай бұрын
Your comment is so unspecific and unhelpful that I really don’t understand why it was necessary at all. If you’re not going to explain what you mean, then at best it just seems like you’re saying that you can’t understand Jung’s work, and at worst that you think you’re superior to “Jungians” somehow.

There’s no instructions or it wouldn’t be “self-discovery.” As Carl Jung says, he who looks within awakens, he who looks outside dreams. Sounds like you just want the easy way, not the right way.

To be your true self, you must stop doing or thinking things that are in resistance to who you are. Simple explanation, but complex to truly understand.
