Enjoy your games very much - THX, leaned a lot from you. I am going to play your Budapest, so I have to deal with the TrompowskyI wonder what you play against this opening, as I find it going into possitions I don't like very much, with no development, etc. ps: Have seen all your video's :)

I just came from Jonathan’s new video searching for Balogh gambit theory and you posted this. It’s a fun coincidence because the Balogh gambit is the exact same gambit, but after e4, not e3. You should look at both of them and make a juicy Budapest repertoire!

Ah that's so funny! Yes, I imagine this would also work very well against e4 instead of e3 :) there's definitely enough here to have a great exciting gambit no matter what White does

William, you should take a look at the Von Hennig Gambit against the Caro-Kahn. It very similar to Von Popiel. You would crush people with it.

You created a video on an aggressive line (for White) *against* the Budapest Gambit but I can't find it anymore. I looked through all your videos and can't find it. Where'd it go?

Unfortunately I don’t think that I ever made such a video :/

You created a video on an aggressive line on the Budapest Gambit but only for Black😁

You missed a classic sacrifice in this opening you want to take credit for ; 1.h3??-Nxf2! 2. Kxf2-Bg3+! 3.Kxg3-Qxd1 -+ Not being judgemental as I admire your tactical vision and attacking style, but I think you missed one there. Cheers!

It doesn't work at all in this position. Nxf2, Kxf2. Bg3, Ke2 and you just lose a knight for nothing.
