very grateful for this video. people at work make fun of me for always bringing this guy up but I've read 15 books about him in the last 2 years, can't help it. I spent so much effort migrating from "dritzt" to "drist" only to hear this video, double check how salvatore says it and hear "dritzt" again...

It’s a minefield with how to pronounce it, my humble belief is just make a decision and go with it. 🧙♂️

I really need to read the books. My party will be heading to the underdark soon and I could use ideas on lore.

I remember reading Crystal Shard when it was newly released, on a long plane flight. I followed the story for quite a few years before drifting away. Interesting to catch up!

Didnt realize he wore his bracers on his legs instead of arms
@Hollowbarista8 күн бұрын
@@ryankerins361 it's all in the books. At first he tried in his hands like his adversary did, but his feet were off balance so he chose to put em on ancles instead. Then after near 100 years and further training his new teacher told he should be able to use them in wrist as they were ment to do. So he changed again.

I can see that many people watching have never read the books. This is unfortunate. There is so much beyond the surface lore.

Very true. Some think Drizzt is whiny. I think he is intelligent and tired of losing those he loves.

Where to start?

@ExoSquadOffical I started with the drizzt origin trilogy. Homeland, Sojourn, and Exile. Then the icewind dale trilogy.

I read all the way to Siege of Darkness and then one of the later books. I Also read the Cleric Quintet and a majority of the Harpers novels but that’s been many many years ago. I liked R.A. Salvatore’s novels.

Great video! Here is a challenge. Make a video on Zaknafein or Artemis Enteri summarizing the way of the drow book events also. Spoilers from most recent 3 books. Starlight Enclave etc.

Will add it to the list

I really like the lore, though this has to be ai reading right? The inconsistency on names just really reads to me as ai.

He betrayed the spider queen.Our queen has spoken.He’s a hatched one of loth and he disobeyed her. There is only one way for him too attone.And that must be decided by loth. As is the fate of all drow whom turn their backs upon the mother. Our own doctrine is very clear on this matter

Llolth is nothing but a mad insect. 😕 Spiders eat spiders. One bug against another. 😐
