Once again, thoroughly enjoyed your adventurous hikes up in the Superstition Mountains! We just returned to NM from Tucson and the Queen Creek area in AZ. We have never seen it as green and lush as it is this year. It is so wonderful that Arizona has WATER IN THE DESERT/MOUNTAINS!! Thanks for all the great photography. Please stay safe out there.

Thanks for watching! I agree, its especially green this year, and as of this moment we are getting even MORE rain in the PHX area! Can't wait to see if the waterfalls turn back on for a bit before the summertime heat steps in and puts a stop to all of that.

I hiked up in the area above the mine. I didn’t find much. I was thinking of hiking up Monument Canyon next winter all the way to the top and then coming down Flatiron. There’s somewhat of a bench towards the top that looks fun to traverse. Not sure if it allows to go all the way to the top. I need binoculars like you. I saw all those cholla from a distance. Looks thick.

Sounds like a good plan. I've been thinking along the same lines, only out and back because only one car. I almost made it up at Canyon of the Waterfalls, but I made a bad directional decision and ended up having to abort. Definitely do-able though! And binoculars were the best addition to my hiking kit-- I highly recommend it!
