if this is the worse you can find in your area you are lucky. I have to bring a dry bag i only use to pick up others peoples trash... real trash, beer cans, botles, metal wrapers, if you are not going to pick it up you are also part of the problem. stop looking for your next click bate vidoe and become the solution. dont record it and walk passed it.

Wait, if it's biodegradable why is it considered littering? It's not really "trash." It's only trash if left behind by a human rather than a bird or squirrel or raccoon, etc.?

Excellent questions! Here are a few of my own: When you eat a banana, do you throw the peel in your front lawn? Why not? If you and all your neighbors did that, how would the neighborhood look over time? Is that how we want our parks to look?

A couple of things: A group of quail is a covey not a flock. The bites in the cactus were likely cattle or perhaps a donkey or even jack rabbits!!Javelina shred cactus leaving a type of net-like structure when dry. I’m an Arizona native and started exploring the state with my grandfather at the age of 6, in the early ‘80s. I’ve seen this state go from an awesome empty place full of adventure to unfortunately a crowded run of the mill place full of yuppies with cameras.

Another great off-trail hike. Stunning views. You're right flat trails are boring. If you want a relative flat and then off-trail, do trail 105 from Tortilla Ranch Trailhead, north off-trail on Peter's Mesa. Then climb up the Southeast side of Malapaise Mtn. and back to the trailhead via Tortilla Creek. Smooth hiking with the climbing you like and back down the creek. I did this hike quite a few years ago. So beautiful, lonely and peaceful area. One of the Best day hikes you can do. Once again, your narration and camera views are so fun for us out here in KZbin Land. Thanks....

One of my favorite spots to take a snack break is under an arch around where you were pointing to at the balanced rock. 🤫 There is a light use trail but it’s hard to find if you’ve never done it. Starts lower in the main canyon and traverses up. You can bush wack up to it as well. You can see the arch if you look closely but it arches towards you so it’s a little hard to see from down below. It’s a special spot and I usually don’t bring it up because I like to enjoy my snack alone 😂. But, if you’re up that way again you can look for it.
@naturallytrailheadedАй бұрын
Thanks for that, I'll have to look next time I'm out there-- love some arches! I'll definitely be going back when it starts to rain again... have to see some actual waterfalls!😂

You up tortilla creek? There's a house in a cave there about a mile up from 5ortila flats it's said to be the headquarters of a Peralta mining operation the dwelling was suppose to be thier office and the mining was another mile away but I think.it was all there in that same area not that far away old prospectors would sleep on top of thier claims back them as to guard them nut the mining ebidenc3 is list in a kind slide or diliberat ll y blasted closed to hide it or over time colasped and is ther nut just not seem anymore but tight under your noses ground oenatrating radar is the tool needed but wouldn't get any approval to use so gorilla scanning would have to dp but don't get caught

American history isn’t very ancient… what kind of ruin we are talking… ???
@naturallytrailheadedАй бұрын
Greetings! The site in question dates back to approx 1200ACE. As I am not an academic historian, I was using the word descriptively-- as in "very old : having lived or existed for a very long time"-- not academically. Sorry for the confusion!

Another amazing ruin settlement in that area is Chalk Canyon petroglyphs by Cave Creek on old FS 48, which loops up to Trail #4. Straight above these are more petroglyphs and rock walls on the mesa west of Trail #4, that loops back to Spur Cross. This site is in line of site of the one you just did. Oh, the bull hangs out down there also.

im gonna say maybe 36 yrs ago, i worked for pinal county...at that time, the park had an annual, "i hiked the peak" day each april...people from all over would gather for a trek to the saddle...those who made it were treated to a picnic lunch with breathtaking views, a tshirt that said, "i hiked the peak", and a certificate...only a handful of us finished making it to the top...there were no cables and we depended on the buddy system to climb...took most of the day to get up there and back...i remember the pride i felt since only 2 females were able to claim the prizes
@naturallytrailheadedАй бұрын
