The White Swan in Dinnington used to be lovely but we've not been for a few years.....Black Bull in Corbridge, The Kings Arms, Melton Constable & Astley Arms which are all in Seaton Sluice all have lovely views too.

Can't beat mother's mountain Sunday dinners when we were kids. There was a lot on the plate piled high,we finished it and still had room for a pudding. Them were the days alright. Sugar on bread, I remember seeing my mam always having a slice. I wonder if that was the problem with her losing her teeth haha. Thanks for letting us know the pub has been done out, might try it sometime. Keep it up Eddie really enjoy your walk abouts.

Great idea about local Sunday Dinners always looking for a change if scenery but can’t go past The Rose Inn,Rosehill Bank, NE28 6TR Wallsend. I have tried most in the area but this place is absolutely amazing and always have slow roast Northumberland beef it’s to die for. Hope you can give it a try. Keep up the good work👍🏻

try out the northumberland hussar, cant speak for their sunday dinners but judging by their food on any other day they are amazing, do thursday night quiz nights, their food takes an interesting spin on pub food. dogs allowed too which is a bonus for you

Morning Eddy, I'm with you: my fave is a Sunday lamb dinner, with all the trimmings 😋👌. Passages of time results in change. I hope the Black & White Bull succeeds. From the history books, my running club Elswick Harriers, when it formed in 1889 ( before NUFC!) .....Their base was the Black Bull pub! For a good number of years👍🍻

@@TynesideLife Hi Eddy, the club really does have some interesting history. We still award the McConachie Cup for the best senior athlete at the club. The trophy dates back to the early 1900's, very ornate and made of solid silver. There's photos of the men of elswick with the trophy pictured in front of the black bull pub.....I believe one of the photos dates back to 1909!
