You have quickly become one of the best channels for Paris sights, along with Les Frenchies. You deserve many more subscribers. My wife and I have been watching your channel from the beginning, and your content and your editing are excellent. You show things that others don't, and have made us change plans for our trip this October because of some of your videos. Thank you for all you do!

merci beaucoup! I admit I skipped through the fire scenes of N.D. I was fortunate to have attended a service there ~ 2010 and watched in horror on TV of the 2019 fire. I was able to visit Paris again in the fall of 2019. I could not look too much at the destruction even though I was staying close by in the Latin Quarter. You do inspire me to go back and spend time on Lle de la Cite. I want to see Sainte Chapelle! Thanks again.

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing." - Attributed to Edward Burke. Over 75 years ago millions of good men and women sacrificed to fight evil. Some, like your grandfather, made the ultimate sacrifice. We should all be thankful for their sacrifice and you should be very proud of your grandfather!

Super! YOu might find maps in libraries in Paris, but they will be in French. Also this book, in French could be very useful: www.amazon.fr/50-balades-pour-red%C3%A9couvrir-Paris/dp/2036024262/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2F3DUHT1RF1A8&keywords=50+balades+pour+red%C3%A9couvrir+paris&qid=1693155745&sprefix=50+balades+%2Caps%2C73&sr=8-1

I guess if you know you've only got a few days to live it's worth paying to live them in relative comfort. Those guards had a good earner going there. I don't believe that Queen Marie Antoinette was as stupid or as cruel as her enemies made out and they were nasty pieces of work for sure. When I read the book by Jean Plaidy "Flaunting, extravagant Queen" I couldn't read it to the end and it made me cry. Which is not like me. I must try to visit the awesome Saint Chapelle+ book online.
