Marianny. Next time you can fly in or out of Dumaguette. There is a ferry that will take you to south Cebu in 30-45 mins. You can also book a driver from Dumagette because the ferry accommodates cars. That way you can also explore Dumaguettes attractions. We discovered this and no longer have to fly into Cebu city and just go directly into the natural beauty. Hope this helps the next time you visit the country.

There's a city in the southern (Mindanao) part of the Philippines called Zamboanga City. They speak Chavacano which is a Spanish-based creole. Here in this video, she's in my hometown province Cebu ,which is in Visayas (central part of the country). In my local language, we don't speak spanish but we have a lot of spanish borrowed words. They may differ in spelling but they almost sound similar. Examples: kusina (cocina), banyo (baño), lamesa (la mesa), tinidor (tenedor), kutsilyo (cuchillo), kutsara (cuchara), taza (taza), baso (vaso), plato (plato), sala (sala), kwarto (cuarto), kama (cama), bintana (ventana), numero (numero), semana (semana), lunes, martes, miyerkules (miercules), huwebes (jueves), biyernes (viernes), sabado, domingo, enero, pebrero, marso, abril, mayo....how we count our money, dos, tres, mil, dos mil, tres mil, milyones...etc. These are just some very few examples of borrowed words.

Marianny, Too bad you couldn't go to El Nido. You could have had soo many beautiful photos in the water and the largest limestone rocks coming out of the water and white sand beaches. Plus you would have enjoyed the party scene, even if it is only good for a few days. Maybe try there if you ever go back to the Philippines.
