hello! welcome to episode 7 of ‘discovering stray kids’ members’ week! today it’s seungmin's episode and i'm sad to communicate that his voice brought me to literal tears, therefore there's a lot of crying in this video😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️
i've always had a soft spot for vocalists, and people who can sing basically, so i already knew he was gonna have an EFFECT on me... also i don't know if it was the right time to be reacting to such a powerful song, but it was REALLy amazing so i'm glad i did it!!🥺🥺
to put you into context, in this week’s special i’ll be reacting to an individual member everyday! i’ll be watching the helpful guide of ‪@TeaNoSuga‬ (which y’all recommended) from each member, and i’ll add other videos recommended by you or that i find!!🌱

Seungmin's voice is really one of a kind. His tone and the emotion he brings with every note is impeccable, I could seriously listen to him sing all day. And yes Love Poem is seriously a must-watch for all potential seungmin stans, that performance was considered his "rediscovery" and it shocked a lot of a people that a group as hard-hitting as skz has a vocalist of his caliber. Seungmin had a lot of pressure to take up the main vocal role in the group after their old main vocal left, and worked so so so hard to be up to the task, and this performance with him being a main highlight, was kind of what solidified that the main vocal role was filled. (although tbh, I've always thought he was amazing). Love poem also brought in a ton of kfans (which skz really lacked at the time) and also provided Seungmin with much more opportunities to show off his singing such as his recent OST and guesting Lee Mujin's show, which is something he's always wanted so I'm really happy and proud of him. I hope you also check out videos on his personality as well, he has a very underrated one tbh (maybe his outstanding singing stands out more at first lol) He's been called the funniest member as of late by the other members in their recent seventeen interview and you can see throughout the video he ends up making them all burst laughing multiple times lol. I get you so much. I was NEVER interested in kpop. It's not my style. I heard many, MANY kpop songs but never really liked it that much. It was literally Seungmin's voice that forcefully pulled me in. like "Nah girl, now you stan me, like it or not" :D Since then I'm basically Seungmin obsessed and started liking all of Stray Kids. I have always loved Seungmin's voice ever since I first heard it. But something about him when he sang 'I'll be there' just hit something different. I found a newfound level of admiration and respect for him and his voice. There was no going back from there!

I am SO GLAD you got to listen to Love Poem! It honestly takes my breath away; I'm a classically/operatically trained singer and there are a couple moments in the song where his technique blows me away, it is SO effective. 17:28 the way he pulls back and crescendos in that line literally made me gasp the first time I heard it. I had to go back and listen to it like 3 times and I started crying, LITERALLY JUST FROM THOSE 4 SECONDS. So yes, we started crying at the exact same time, lmao. The other is 19:27, at the end of the note he opens his mouth and the sound is so full and wide and falls out of him with such force... I clutch my heart. Listening to him sing this song, and knowing how meticulous he is about studying voice, you just *know* that he planned out every note, every crescendo and use of vibrato, put so much emotion into each line, and it is all just so so so so effective! And tomorrow our maknae and then you'll have done every member YAY YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!

oh trust me, every stay was crying at love poem. the performance itself was beautiful but then the context behind it was even more heart warming. we were all just in shock at seungmin's improvement and so happy he was able to get an opportunity like that to finally properly show us how good he is at singing. he is constantly underestimated by fans of other groups and even stays,ppl kept calling him a weak vocalist. but he just wouldn't stop improving and constantly exceeding our expectations. he really had it rough when their main vocalist left...it was such a big role to fill and he was still young and inexperienced. he put in so much time and effort to be able to sing in the style stray kids' songs were in and his members constantly praise and thank him for it. it was the performance that changbin said he cried watching, all the members were emotional watching him perform. it was literally last year when seungmin gained more popularity and attention because he gained so much more confidence and started standing out so much. I'm a seungmin ult and that only started last yr too. the first time I ever switched biases in a group. 4 years of having a different bias and gradually seungmin came in and completely took my heart. I'm ot8 biased most of the time but yea if U ask for a specific bias, I have to say seungmin

Don't worry, we all cried when we heard Love Poem for the first time. And every time after that. The way you looked is pretty much how all of us do, when we listen to Love Poem. If you would like to have some more crying time, you might want to listen to #LoveStay one day. I think Stay are the luckiest and one of the most loved and spoiled fandoms out there. It's a song Skz made for Stay and it's the most beautiful and touching message/gift. LOL, don't know why I am so cheesy right now. I think it's the Seungmin/Love Poem effect. 😆 If you would like to see their vocals individualy The Fist Take Slump, Scars and Mixtape Oh are amazing. My personal fav is Slump. Skz did the opening and ending for the anime The tower of God . The opening is "Top" and "Slump" is the ending. Btw, I didn't have a bias in Skz for a long time as well. Even now it often feels like my bias is the Skd that's in front of me that very moment. It can be a hard life, especialy while watching an MV😂 Then slowly but surely Lee Know became my bias. Even though he is my bias, I consciously follow on social media any Seungmin and IN stans I come accross, because in my opinion they are the nicest Stay out there. 🌞 Hope you enjoy your jurney discovering Skz. omgg seungmin's unique vocal color/tone makes you really notice him, like even if u put him together with five singers, u can tell it's him singing because of his voice. I was han biased at first, now seungmin bcs his voice really just amazes me, it's so unique. I think this is also the reason why staysss and I am so drawn to skz's music because their vocal colors and tones are so different from one another and the structure of their songs are created and assigned to fit the vocal quality of each member singing their parts. It's such a unique quality to have in a kpop group.

A few fun facts: while monitoring Love Poem, multiple members, especially changbin, cried listening to seungmin. And Hyunjin (aka seungmin stan #1) always asks for 3racha to send him seungmins vocals. It's fine to have multiple bias. I, myself too is a Seungmin and Hyunjin bias. but their are times when chan and lee know are wrecking me so hard. it's fine to have multiple stray kids bias. hahaha

I´m a Stay since 2020 and for the longest time, I couldn´t have a bias. I was stressing myself just thinking about choosing just one (I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!!) but suddenly I made one of those "save one" games and I realize that no matter who was I was always saving Seungmin above the other members and that make think why? I realize that I found myself smiling every time I see him (even when he´s mad, sooooo sexy btw) still, I thought I guess I like him a lot!! But after Love POem I said to myself "I don´t care, I´m Seungmin´s fan forever" and after that, I watched a video of sad things in K-pop and Seungmin said "I know I´m the less popular member in Stray Kids, it´s ok, I guess" that broke my heart 😢🥺🥺🥺😭Seugmin´s voice brings peace to my heart, his personality is so fun, he´s so smart and clever, he´s so dedicated and organize and still will make you laugh, the members adore him, to sum up, Seugmin is the best!!! I´m proud of him!!

HUHASDUFHASDUF Hyunjin made me stan stray kids but Seungmin is the biggest factor why I stayed!!! It's okay to cry and I cried with u when they sang Love Poem. It really made me think about how I love music too and how it heals us in many ways :(( It's the power of how genuine Seungmin is and how passionate he is. ASDFJADSF it is so funny bc Baekhyun is my bw in exo and I really love his voice too. I can't believe this coincidence. Also!! For song recommendation, Seungmin's vocals are really shown in secret secret, winter falls, and gone away. When his OST with Hometown Cha Cha Cha came out, it was one of my happiest days, that is my favorite kdrama that brought me to tears every episode and it's so funny how he also sang an ost for them. A lot of things that are coincidental always happens to stray kids and I think we're all just destined to be a stay.

There's another version of the Love Poem stage which has the audience/ members reactions as the stage goes on. It's adorable- Han and Changbin especially are so so into it. Also - Neverending Story is a OST for Extraordinary You they did. It was the first SKZ song I even heard and remains one of my favorite of their more vocal heavy songs. Check it out!
