As a local of Launceston and a Tasmanian, I always lap up any content about my home haha, glad you loved it so thoroughly (as in the whole series), but there's so much more to offer next time 'round. Might I recommend the north-west coast and also the Cradle Mountain + Central Highlands, absolutely stunning areas. But yeah Launie is a pretty sleepy place but eh you gotta go to the cataract gorge and its surroundings next time, It's beautiful and good to go for a walk and swim around if you don't find it too bloody freezing that is.

Yes! Agreed there is SO MUCH more to see. We went for a week and jammed packed a bit too much for such a short amount of time. Next time i just want to focus on the north or south. My dream would be to see the aurora australis one day. Cradle Mountain also looked amazing. Will be definitely returning to Tassie to see more! Thanks for the tips :)

Probably 2022, with all the lockdowns and uncertainty, it’s a bit difficult at the moment, as living in London. I’ll continue to get my Aussie adventure fix on KZbin for now. Looking forward to the next video!

Excited to see what else you get up to in our little state!! So much to do in Launnie, kayaking on the river, abseiling in the Gorge, the wetlands the wineries! You definitely needed a little longer. About to watch vlog 2! I've subscribed purely on the back Of your Tassie vlogs. Well done!

Defiantly wasn't in Launnie or Tassie for long enough. We travelled around for 7 days and barely scratched the surface! Definitely planning to go back. :) I want to see the aurora australis!

You lot don't pronounce it properly. It should be 'Lawn stuhn'
@SophiesTravelSecrets3 жыл бұрын
My apologies Martyn, I will definitely work on my pronunciation with my accent. 😉 Thank you for the feedback. I hope you enjoyed the video! x

@@SophiesTravelSecrets actually, I'm not sure of the pronunciation there. Here in Cornwall, UK. Which is the original... it seems to be pronounced differently. So I'm probably wrong. But great video anyway. Have a good day 😊

@@SophiesTravelSecrets Your pronunciation was pretty spot on actually. The two different Launcestons do have different pronunciations -- the Cornish is as the commenter says, but here in Tasmania is a bit different (as are many names). In an Australian accent it's "lonsestn" or "lonnie" (Launnie) for short. Mainland Australians often say "lawn-sestn" though. In an American accent the way you said it is best, because it is how it would be pronounced naturally in that accent, which makes sense.
