btw: - Rog allows you to apply some crafts to the items he sells so it can be quite profitable with great meta/crafting knowledge - Gween just shows you the base of the item but when you buy it it could be anything even a very valuable unique

This should be pushed up, to be specific on how it works, when you buy an item from Rog, you get to choose random changes on the afixes of the items multiple times at the cost of some of the expedition currencies (some of the changes can be, get rid of all suffixes, get 3 suffixes over 10 times and keep the best results based on tier, reroll the values of all prefixes, etc). It takes a while to figure it out, but as soon as a league starts, going into expedition as soon as you hit maps is one of the good ways to fish for good items early, you can get pretty good weapons or armors. Also selling logbooks as you have seen is a good way to make currency early to buy whatever you need for your character. I'd recommend looking into it for future leagues if you keep coming back to POE for the next leagues.

I love that most POE videos are things like “everything about expedition explained” and yours is like “I don’t know how this works but I’m gonna find out” Edit: some of the rare items that show up on your new filter are “fractured items” if you identify them they have one brown colored affix. That affix cannot be changed when you craft on the item and can occasionally be valuable if you get a high tier affix. (Something like 2 additional arrows on a bow) some people don’t bother identifying them all, some do.

I don't know if you ever found out, but the modifiers from blowing up Expedition bonuses apply *in order*. So, if you blow up 'More Monster Resistances' first, every monster will have it, but if you don't blow up 'Overwhelm Damage Reduction' until bomb three, only bomb three and after will have it.

@TheEluminator no, it doesn't, that's why I'm proposing a change to the format. Considering the nature of his playthrough (blind impressions of sections, followed by explanations in the comments, which he then incorporates going forward), a two-pronged approach would be more true to the initial PoE videos imo. Plus, you don't really lose anything. It just adds a dimension. Blind approach - first impressions - "okay, I've looked at a guide, here's one more encounter" - final thoughts. That means that he gets to evaluate what should have been more clear etc in his blind approach - and, of course, his first impression of the "revealed" mechanic. The comparison adds extra value with a very minor extension to the videos' length, and it's not like he wouldn't look at how the mechanics actually work eventually, (edit) so it's not much of an extra time investment. Regarding Expedition guide length, you can always check how long the guides are and go for something you feel is appropriate. Like, you don't need to know the intricacies of Rog crafting, but knowing what Rog actually does, how the explosion sequence works, and even the significance of runic monsters would have been an "aha" moment that would have made the video more interesting. @@methany8788 one of the biggest issues you have with guides is knowing the quality of them. most stuff on the internet is clickbait. finding good information in a good format is hard. i think his video series is good as it is. he doesn't strike me as a min max kinda guy and it would be sad if all he read was " this and that is useless/worthless " in those guides

Alternatively, he can also look at comprehensive guides and stop after the introduction to the mechanics. The latter would also allow him to find a series of guides with an established format, which we could vet (or even suggest).

I don't know if someone has already said this but if you're interested in finding all nodes from a mechanic in the Atlas Passive Tree all you have to do is find one wheel and click the symbol for the desired mechanic inside said wheel, this will highlight every single cluster and let you plan the best route to allocate them. Having the tree zoomed out also makes it easier to find them. Hope this helps, cheers!

You need a part 2 for this. Each of the 4 expedition factions has a boss(2 of them are epic) that you can only find in logbooks(there is a skull icon on the minimap but go straight to it don't buff it). Tujen solves most of your currency issues at the start of the league and Rog is good at crafting items for you. Danning is just a general seller that offers artifacts and currency refresh for the other 3 factions. He is very good because he also sells logbooks. My strat is: spec into Tujen and Danning(upper right atlas tree) then run expeditions hoping for Tujen/Danning refresh currency+logbook. Run logbooks choosing Danning if possible if not Tujen. Loggbooks also give refresh currencybut no logbooks. Then play the Tujen slotmachine. You get unique maps, scarabs, delve stuff, divines etc. Refresh Danning for logbooks

I'm genuinely impressed at how quickly you identified the issue of your scarabs not being used! It's such a common question that comes up and many people end up having to ask for help about it. There's maybe one or two other notables on the atlas tree that can really confuse you if you simply forgot you allocated it.

Nyx, there are some league mechanics that are stackable such as breach, legion, abyss, etc. It means that you can have more than one of them in the map, so if you add more encounters is better. But in the other case, some league mechs such as expedition, delirium or blight can only have one encounter in the map, so if you are gonna force the encounter by using an scarab, you should take out the "%chance to get an encounter" nodes in the atlas tree, since they do nothing if you are already forcing the mechanic with a scarab.

Expedition is my go-to mechanic when league starting. It covers your bases pretty well. But I want to talk about something that you didn't get to touch on in this video, and that is Rog. Rog is my single favorite part of expedition. He seems like a regular campaign merchant that sells nothing of value, he's anything but. When you buy an item from Rog, you can then enhance the item you picked with various crafting options like: reroll all suffixes/prefixes, upgrade affix tiers, reroll the amount of sockets, links, or even a divine orb like effect. So sometimes Rog blesses you with the most godly item known to exile-kind: triple T1 flat ele dmg bows, +2 minion helms, 50+ chaos res rings, the list goes on. He's one of the few deterministic forms of crafting in the game, and that's what makes him fun for me.

When you tried the first logbook with those mods I was chuckling at my screen and saying out loud : no this is not okay dude. This is actually a pretty nasty combination to use as a base for an expedition for any character, since the dammage can ramp up sooo easily along the way. Also I think a trap in expedition is to go for the most remnants possible when the runic monsters ( big skulls on sticks ) are equally or even more important, especially if you want to find more logbooks.

Gwennen is arguably the "easiest" way to get the chase uniques like Mageblood and Headhunter, since you can just hoard thousands of her currencies and roll until you see leather or heavy belts in her inventory and just buy those. Obviously it is heavily weighed, but that is the way people who do not go the "hyperjuicing the maps" way get those items. Outside of that Expedition tends to be a lot of peoples thing they specialize their atlas tree for alongside stuff like essences, since the stuff vendors sell are actually pretty good. Gwennen: As mentioned before, chance for the chase uniques is always something people strive for, but she is also very useful in SSF environment for getting some of the more common build defining items. Tujen: He spits out currency like no tomorrow. You can get hundreds of fusings, jewellers, vaal orbs, scouring orbs and regret orbs pretty easily via expedition. Obviously there is a chance for him selling a bunch of Divine orbs, a good divination cards or high tier essences and such as well. And on the top end, stuff like mirrors and mirror shards. Rog: Is the way to get rares early in the league. And even late in league he is probably the easiest way to get specific rare items, most notably shields and bows. Dannig: By rolling his inventory he can sell you logbooks, which obviously tends to be more consistent than just waiting for them to drop. Other than that, him being the gateway to the actual logbook maps is his main purpose. The logbooks when rolled properly first of all just spew currency out like no tomorrow, but they're also (at least to my knowledge) the only source for unique flasks used in a specific build archetype known as "wardloops", though I have no idea if those are popular any more, pretty much everyone who just wanted to blast maps played one of those a league or two back. I personally really enjoy Expedition and tend to keep it specced in my tree far into the endgame. I don't honestly know if it is the most efficient thing to keep there, but I like it and that's that. 😂

13:46 Certain league mechanics can only spawn once per map: expedition, ultimatum, blight. So even though a scarab can say "adds an additional," those mechanics will only spawn once anyways. However, there can be more than 1 breach, abyss, harbinger per map. It's another one of those "if you know, you know" details in PoE 😅

A quick tip on the item filters; Using strict as a new player is a horrible idea. Currency, fragments of currency and good items will not be shown. For example most of the essences in the game will not be shown nor will the fragments from harbingers. I recommend (if you absolutely have to use strict) first pick the strict one you want then customize it to view all fragments and currency (they are under their respective tabs).

NYX LISTEN UP: Runic monsters = Very large skulls on end of pikes, these are your Rare monsters, look for the suffixes (Light blue) that says "Runic Monsters have an increased chance to drop Logbooks", the logbooks are the ones that will get you better/rarer artifacts. Excavation Chests = the white/yellow/red rectangular icons, the amount/rarer items increase going from white to yellow to red. So if you can, plan your route with your explosives looking for yellow chests and a MUST have for red chests. If you're also farming for expedition events, and you have a stack of scarab's to use, you can put all 10 of them into the map device, and it'll only use one at a time. This way you're not manually putting them in all the time and you wont forget if you did or not. AND YES, make sure your item label/identifier (Z key) is on lol. I was pulling my hair on that first Logbook hahaha

might not be the first to point out but, overwhelm phy defense basically means phy hit to your ignore % of phy dmg reduction. you opened one that had "overwhlem 100% phy". also if you dont do elemental dmg you dont have to worry about ele reflect. lastly, every buff/debuff to you or mobs will stack up for the next mob spawn. example: first one mob always crit, from there on every mob that ever spawn will also have 100% crit. 2nd box gives lightning immunity, so every mob after that has 100% crit and lightning immunity. Logbooks like BlackScythe=tujen currency(arifacts) or knight of the sun= danning currency.

For some reason, in your logbook attempts you have hidden the modifier descriptions above the remnants (those sticks that make the encounter more challenging AND rewarding). You might have pressed a button to hide them + items by accident, I assume maybe it was "Z" or "T" (haven't played for like 2 months now, so unsure). Normally they should be shown just like how they are in regular map expedition encounters... Basically, just like in maps, you want to chain explosives to ideally FIRST juice up the loot and difficulty according to what your build can handle, then in the later part of the chain you want to focus on getting the skulls and chests as much as you can for maximum profit =) edit: Consider trying out the keystone "Extreme Archeology" on the atlas. You only get 1 explosion per expedition encounter in maps, but it is HUGE and applies ALL modifiers to everything, making this MUCH HARDER, but MORE JUICY and FASTER ;) edit2: whoops, missed the moment he realized

Most the currency that you can accumelate from playing expedition is farming reroll currencies (of the good npcs) such as exotic coinage or Dannig's reroll currency and dropping logbooks which their prices change between 10chaos for really bad ones 40 chaos for decent and even a few divines for the best ones. Those logbooks only drop from the big skull pillars so aim to blow up those. And one more point, the bonuses that you take stack up, try exploding the loot boxes and skulls afyer you got the bonuses you want

You running Loogbooks with your filter off and thinking the corruption stopped you from seeing the mods killed me 🤣🤣 i wheezed when you found out, could hear the facepalm all the way to Sweden! Expedition is insanely good for currency making with Dannig and Tujen combined. if you also know a bit about crafting then Rog is really good especially early game once you hit lvl 85-86 cause he then starts selling items with high item levels. i am kinda disappointed you never tried using Rog or Gwennen, cause if you "purchased" 1 item you'd see why people use them.

Yeah, expedition is one of those leagues where you HAVE TO read. It offers a lot, but if you make it too difficult you can be 1-tapped by a white roah, or can straigth up not deal any damage at all. I can't tell you how frustraiting it was seeing you put all those explosives without reading the marker effects at all. Also: remnant effects DO NOT affect monsters or chests from previous explosions, aka if you have a remnant at your last explosive, only the last batch of monsters will be affected.

What is your most favorite & least favorite PoE content? in term of fun or maybe loot profit

Don't put overwhelm on your content or maps, that thing ignores your armour. Also, you can't gain trauma stacks if you keep jumping with Leap Slam. xD Just use Boneshatter and use your mov skill when necessary.

dear brother you need to change binding for leap slam, you are using it instead of your main skill ,thats why you die sometimes, but you seem like you didn't realize.
