Spoken grammar allows for more dynamic and engaging communication compared to written grammar, adding fun and lively elements to speech production. In this session, we will explore the melodic side of spoken grammar and share some lesson ideas that make use of the power of pause, tone, and intonation as well as pattern practice to contribute to language accuracy and fluency.

Gizem İyigün holds a B.A. in English Language Teaching and an MA degree in the field of Linguistics. She has been an English language teacher for 15 years. She has mainly worked as a language instructor and a teacher trainer in higher education institutions. She worked at a civil society organization as an educational specialist and delivered training sessions of various kinds and education levels around Turkey. She holds a DELTA in ELT Management and works as a freelance teacher trainer for Oxford University Press.
