David, it's about time you gotta install a winch in your neatly built winch, bro. 99% of the time you go camping solo winch can be handy cuz you never know what you'll counter on your route. I believe it'll boost your confidence to explore deeper and do harder rocky trail in order to get to some special places in top of the mountains. It's gonna be rewarding for and for the channel as well. In my opinion it's a win2. And with 37s it will be even better. No offense to your current rig built. Just a humble opinion from a fellow overlander half way across the world. Cheers bro.

Trust me man I’m trying. I’m very aware of the limitations not having a winch puts me in and it sucks. It’s cool that I can work with companies and get products that are cheaper, but what sucks is sometimes that moves really slow. Because it’s so expensive I’d love to save some cash where I can so honestly that’s why I don’t have one yet. Hopefully soon

Hey David, loving your vids. I actually found your channel last year on a road trip to our family camp. (I was stuck in traffic behind you 😂). You're motivating me to get my XJ running again, keep putting these videos out. No matter how awesome you make things look, I gotta see them for myself!

You get to some amazing places that I love to see. When I run trips into my favourite areas, people tell me how amazed they are at all the hidden gems I know. What they don’t realise is that I do many solo trips that don’t lead to amazing places on the way to finding them gems. But I actually prefer the fun of exploring to just going to the good places. To me that is the real overlanding and exploring.

David I’m thrilled. I was finally able to support your impressive work through Patreon. (I kept trying) Your travels, breathtaking photography, and storytelling dialogue gives the viewer a true adventure. Plus, that you decided to share that you are a veteran, it gave more context to your work. One of my favorites is when you went to the beach with your dogs, just to get off the grind. Never occurred to me. I’ve been doing the same since and going to a nearby state park. Thank you for that thought.

Nice work! I recognize some of the Swell footage and the Fremont River crossing. It looks like you took the back way from Goblin Valley to Cathedral Valley and crossed Muddy Creek. We plan on taking that route to Cathedral Valley and out across the Fremont River but it looks like I should wait for the water to go down. My wife and I are posting KZbin videos of our trips in CO and UT in our 2022 AWD Transit van built out for off-roading. We're pushing the limits for a van and last weekend got a bit crazy on the CO / UT boarder. I was thinking Bronco many times. This weekend we're taking the van on the Moab Bronco Off-Roadeo gnar on Dome Plateau. I expect failure.
