Another beautifully shot video as usual. Those are actually pictographs (painted on the rocks) versus petroglyphs which are etched / pecked into the rocks. Thanks for pointing out and protecting that soil which is called cryptobiotic soil, It might take 20 to 100 years to recover after stepping on it. I apologize for the corrections, I am a retired science educator.

Most Excellent episode... You may not believe it... but 20 years ago I took my 15 passenger Ford e350 Van through those roads by the copper globe mine. You must have missed the tribute plaque to the sheep herder who was killed near the mine and crawled 5 miles through the snow to escape before he died. That was back in the cattle/sheep herding wars.

Love your videos! Just curious why you do not move west from Kentucky? You only seem to overland western states and the drive back and forth for every trip must be a drag and expensive! Keep the videos coming either way!
@RevereOverland8 ай бұрын
It's definitely a drag and is very expensive! Unfortunately it's still cheaper than moving out west; house prices are super low in Kentucky, and we just can't find anything even close in Colorado, Utah, or any of the surrounding states.

Can I ask why you don’t fit mudflaps to your vehicles in the USA? Do you not normally drive in the mud and wet dirt ? I’m glad my 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser 78 Troop Carrier come standard with good quality mudflaps from the factory. Keep up Me great videos
@RevereOverland8 ай бұрын
I think it's my fault rather than Jeep's. The wheels stick out a little further than they did from factory, but this is the first trip I've really had problems with it. My next vehicle won't have the wheels sticking out as far.
@overland_adventure_nz8 ай бұрын
@@RevereOverland I have noticed most jeeps in the US seem to have the wheels stuck out past the bodywork. Down under it’s illegal to have the sticking out pasta the bodywork. Unfortunately, I owned a Jeep once and a mechanic that could keep fixing it . It was a two year old TJ broke down of three weeks with a new fault each time. Replaced it with a far superior Suzuki Jimny for better offroad adventures.
@jxt338 ай бұрын
@@overland_adventure_nz It is also illegal in most states in the US. There is a requirement for fender flares and mud flaps when the wheels stick out or if they're bigger than the stock... but the enforcement of it varies.
