A lot of what MIzner says in this vid is standard, mainstream Yang style theory + principles - 4 corners are to 'fix' situations where the 4 straight (si zheng) techniques fail, also his point about 'taking' the loss is IMO exactly what Cheng Man-ching meant by "invest in loss" (chi kui)

I think part of the difficulty is getting legit ting developed. It takes a ton of training to get just basic peng, the pseudo ting and pseudo 3 harmonies. But it wasn't until I broke through recently that I realized how limited a practitioner is without getting past the threshold for super tangible Ting. It's like realizing you were blind or had blurring vision. I didn't realize exactly how trippy it would get when I could Ting properly. And the 3 harmonies can't actually reach true harmonization until the advanced levels of ting either, simply because it can't be physically felt properly yet. It's a matter of precision of awareness and depth of tangibility. And Every time I make a breakthrough it feels like I need to repolish and retrain all of the kungfu I know to make it more correct and more internal because I can see/feel deeper. So it's like a recalibration period before deepening the Taichi conditioning again. Is anyone else having or has had this experience? With the ting breakthru?

Well said. Ting is everything. If u think about it...with a high enough developed sensing awareness....how can u not feel everything

I have heard/seen a number of explanation as it concerns Peng/Lu/Ji /an (excuse for any misspelling in terminology). He states if you do not have proper Peng then you have the same issue with the rest of it. I hope someday to meet someone which whom I can practice with, that can provide me with the true feeling of Peng.

Not sure if it was the intent but the 'this is not Yang style' impersonation reminded me of the short clip of Tian Yingjia. I wonder if Zhaolin's family descendants took things in a different direction than other students might have. The recently posted Huang DeFa video didn't have any of that.

Many people will say that this is fake. They will say that his students are being compliant, and they are so that he can demonstrate. A noncompliant external person will automatically fall into Sifu Mizner"s traps and could be seriously hurt. Tai Chi works best on someone trying to take your head off.

Sam problem as all these lame demos . Students are realistic in attack . No follow up as in real life . And yes the hopping , is exaggerated fake . @4.40 🤔🤓😃😃🙈🙈🤗👻 such an exaggerated reaction by student to a slight push . Yes I do combat Taichi .. 🙈 let’s see his students manage to do the same , with our others do operating . Don’t tell me if he don’t hop back he gets injured internally 😃😃😃

Generally, it's more that they're trying to maintain the Tai Chi body/qualities that they've been taught - which AM exploits as he's better at that game than they are. Same as if you try to do Judo against an international, then you'll look like a rag doll but if you chin them, then it'll all look different.
