Even though taking the train to the city area from your neighbourhood is faster, but buses also must be implemented at your doorstep as a ‘backup’ route in case of a breakdown towards the city area during peak hours to help bring you to your workplace safety and smoothly especially during the crowded peak hours

972 shows a great example as an alternative to 190 and Downtown line, thus reducing the crowds since its introduction in 2013.

Nice Video! I don't think the LTA will touch on bus service 972 route anymore. Bukit Panjang residents will be so mad and there will be riots at Bukit Panjang if the LTA touch on 972. LOL! I think bus service 972 is an important part of Bukit Panjang for Bukit Panjang residents to travel to CBD. Talking about 972M, I think there is a high possibility of route amendment again. Idk. I just feel like 972M going to have amendment soon....

I think another svc that lta cannot touch is 67 thanks to its demand. And also can i suggest a video about like bus frequencies bc i recently saw 853M having a 21min frequency for 1 bus. Last time, i am sure smrt's frequency was better. But 21min, no, its just too long for a commuter to wait..... and even once i had to wait 43min for 853m. I think lta and tts should reconsider their deployment of dd on 853/ M and change it to some oc500le to handle the load. Like example: After TTS Takeover: Trade 3 OC for 1 DD My suggestion: Change the DD to 3 OC for better frequency as waiting 23min is not worth it and is a waste of time for commuters to wait as sometimes (the other 2 buses to high residential areas like bayshore: 43 and 48) are filled to the front and 853M helps to cater the demand for those stranded commuters who get stuck due to full buses. They also waste money as sometimes these DD's are barely even filled with people especially during rush hrs. I think its best that they deploy oc, its a single deck and on holidays, it can also cater the demand with its 2 wheelchair bays. The OC is good for low to medium demand which i think 853M is one service.

853M was OTA when the LTA handed over to Tower Transit for Mandai region. 966 & 980 was also one of the bus services under OTA the moment its region gets handed over. As i didn't have a chance to experience myself on this case, i'll try to find a time to observe the moments of Service 853M

@@TIB1234T yep u should try the east section. i think OC is best for 853M as based on my observations at the east area, there is low demand for it during non peak and i feel like its only used to help relieve demand from 43 and 48 thus making this svc useful but with the trash frequencies and wrong bus deployment, this is what makes 853M not a good bus svc. Btw this svc is actually good for being a weekday and weekend bus svc to help demand during weekdays as sometimes during peak hrs, buses are full and 853M would be useful

972 was introduced because back then, people were unable to board 190 since it was packed

972 is much vital to Bukit Panjang residents travelling to the city. If LTA ever want to touch the service, just like what I mentioned in service 190, expect much anger from the Bukit Panjang residents. The only service that directly connects BP residents to the city together supplementing service 190, this adds relief to residents returning home from the city. Any slight amendment is a major time loss to those who wants to return home quicker, and its a good thing that they divert 972M to serve Petir residents who used to depend on 700 to the city. It makes no sense to ask residents to take 973 and transfer to DTL which adds to the inconvenience.

If Service 972 / 972M wants to go Suntec City, they would have done so back in 2013 or 2020. Yes, I wish But however with CCL & DTL, I have to sadly say that not many take between Orchard - Suntec City anymore.... if 162M gets died, 111 left might be enough I think. Yes i've been complaining why cannot go Suntec City, but sadly I have to face the fact.... But now I realise that if you miss one bus at NS24/NE6/CC1 Dhoby Ghaut, can cross the road LOL
