Look being an asbestos remover my self I can see a couple mistakes made in this. 1 all worker's must be clean shaved. 2 there are people on the floor under the people removing with out ppe on yes they sprayed the top of the sheets but asbestos fibres are still dropped to the floor when you lit up the sheet

What was dangerous about it? I don’t know much aboit this, but personally be worried walking on a roof like they are at the start without anchors, and what about others in the vicinity?

Lanyards wrapped around sharp steel purlins. There are special anchor point straps to use around purlins and etc. There is no way these guys have WAH certification.

Standing on the roof first up without a safety harness. The dust is so harmful and they are not clean shaven and some of them are wearing cheap P2 masks. Very hypocritical video. Lots of other mistakes in this video. Why did they not ensure all the utilities had been isolated. Another poor video by Discovery.

In fact it's a non licensed works. By law as long as you spray it with wetting agents you don't even need a mask.

I done the same job for a couple of years , and they don't seem to the right masks or disposable clothing that needs to be destroyed as hazardous waste or any cleaning facilities (showers), after each time they are in contact with this material the fibers cannot be cleaned from your clothes the next time they Are in contact with public there is potential of cross contamination 🤦🤦🤦
@PoProstu_Ameryka Жыл бұрын
Who told you fibers cannot be cleaned? I removed my shed and all asbestos was broken, Washed clothes 3 times, now I am afraid.

@35mmtoms2 жыл бұрын
Don’t do it again (obviously) but you’ll be fine. The fibres in cement sheeting are very tightly bound and you got out of there quick
@bunnysuitlewds1262 жыл бұрын
you'll be fine. you had minimal exposure and I'm willing to bet the amount of fibre's if measured would be less than 1 in the air around there. especially if you fell through a roof then the wind probably carried some away too. Realistically you'll only know if you're fine from asbestos like 30+ years after exposure.

It's bad but it's not that bad. not matter what you do you are GOING to in hale and consume asbestos if you work with it. Despite it being law, no jobsites ever have showers on them, and the only 2 things that actually work to prevent you or anyone else being exposed to it is showers and your respirators, otherwise it is a fact of life that you will inhale or consume asbestos to some degree.
