@derryjones1029: It’s conditioning your body, I do it for hunting every year both heat and cold. I don’t sweat much when it’s hot and don’t freeze when it’s cold.

​@@letsgobrandon7297 bs dude I've lived in the area they're in at 9k' elevation with no heat. You don't acclimate to negative temps. You can acclimate to freezing temps. Sort of. Going out in that weather with shorts and no shoes is idiotic if you're not doing it for television. By the way, if you acclimate to those temperatures, you will be hot at 50 degrees Fahrenheit. You also lose the acclimation very quickly. ie: travelling to lower elevation and staying in normal temperatures for a weekend and it's all gone.

If you didn’t know about adapting to temps then need to go back to school. Not saying at the same time, say for each season….mid summer than you do it for mid winter.

I understand that Dave lied about certain aspects of his military service and that was wrong. I'm not arguing against it! But I do have to say that Dave and Cody were the best pairing of any pair on this show ever, they made it engaging and interesting for my young 16 year old mind to understand. I am now an avid survivalism activists and I owe most of that credit to these two men. Thank you Cody and Dave

Cody is an animal for going around shoeless like that. I consider myself a tough guy, and that is something that i could not comprehend putting myself through, let alone voluntarily. He makes sense if you listen to him though, when he explains frostbite usually occuring by lack of circulation due to shoe constriction. The dude has a point
